Twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton bolted faster than a speeding bullet from a reporter who asked her a question concerning her ties with deceased, convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his former lover and associate Ghislaine Maxwell. The journalist asked the former first lady why Maxwell was invited to her daughter Chelsea’s wedding after Epstein was convicted on charges of prostituting a minor.
“Can I ask? Why was Ghislaine Maxwell invited to your daughter Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in 2010? She’d already been mentioned in a civil lawsuit by Virginia Giuffre. Jeffrey Epstein before that?” The reporter asked. She responded by saying, “She came as the plus one guest of someone who was invited.” Clinton promptly thanked the crowd of journalists and walked away as fast as possible before any additional follow-up questions could be asked.
Founder of Students for Trump, Ryan Fournier, shared a clip of the exchange on social media platform X, asking in the caption, “What are the Clintons hiding?” A commenter pointed out that Maxwell was seated in the first chair of the aisle, which is not typically where the plus one of a guest to a wedding sits. The same individual also noted that Maxwell appeared very comfortable at the event and suggested the guest list be released to the public.
Another person said, “Every single person at that wedding had to pass a security screening. I’ve been to a wedding in which a former President and his wife attended and all guests were screened.” Some in the comments even suggested the original guest was Epstein himself and that Maxwell was his plus one. “I highly doubt the secret service didn’t know everyone even plus ones that were coming to the wedding so Hillary was fully aware who was coming and approve the guest list,” someone else wrote.
For added context, earlier in the day, Clinton went before Congress and sat through six hours of questioning about her connection to Epstein and Maxwell. Later, she appeared before the press and told them she has no new information concerning the two individuals, going a step further and claiming she doesn’t remember meeting him, flying on his plane, or visiting his home, office, or island, according to KFOX 14.
During her press conference, Clinton told reporters that she answered questions “repetitively, literally over and over again.” She took an opportunity to slam Republicans for holding the closed-door deposition instead of making it a public hearing, Fox News reported. Clinton also stated that she would not be providing any further testimony, even if the GOP decided to hold a public hearing, saying, “They had a chance to do it in public, and I wish they had done it in public. And I think they’re making the wrong decision, avoiding doing it in public.”
“It then got, at the end, quite unusual because I started being asked about UFOs and a series of questions about Pizzagate, one of the most vile, bogus conspiracy theories that was propagated on the internet that was serving as the basis of a member’s questions to me,” Clinton went on to say. Later, she took another shot at GOP lawmakers for not attending the deposition of former Victoria’s Secret CEO Leslie Wexner in person.

Surprisingly, the former secretary of state did have praise for House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) for raising a series of significant questions that I responded to about the nature of the investigation and the areas that I thought should be explored. So, I appreciated that. I want to see the truth come out. So, that was a reassuring way to end a very long, repetitive, deposition.”
