Hot off the heels of her comment that Trump supporters might need to be “formally reprogrammed” out of their constant support for the former President, former Secretary of State and failed 2016 presidential contender Hillary Clinton got in a heated argument with an audience member who asked her about World War III.
That incident, which devolved into a heated three minute argument, came during a panel event meant to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). It was hosted by Columbia University in New York City.
The incident began with the extremely angry individual asking about the “idiotic” policies of President Joe Biden, by which the individual appears to have meant American funding and military equipment support for the Ukrainian military effort and the Israelis, along with the general degradation of America’s position on the world stage.
Hillary, rather than defend Biden’s policies or otherwise defend the state of American foreign policy, instead demanded that man sit down and be quiet so that others could ask questions, saying, “I’m sorry, we have two more people to hear from. You have a chance to…well, I’m not sorry. You sit down, and we’re going to let other people talk.”
He wasn’t having it. Firing back, he yelled, “President Joe Biden is calling for a hundred billion dollars of funding for Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine. And we’re supposed to just bundle these together and pretend like we’re gonna rush to World War 3 and we’re all just gonna let Hillary Clinton sit here…”
Hillary then again refused to respond to or rebut the man’s point and instead objected to his tone, saying, “I’m sorry, this is not the way to have a conversation. If you want to have a conversation, you’re welcome to come talk to me afterward.”
Putting the kibosh on that, the agitated individual yelled that he both didn’t think Clinton would actually meet with him to discuss the matter and that he thinks “the American people’s voice needs to be heard…because the president’s not speaking for the people, and neither are you.”
She again refused to engage with him or rebut him, saying, “Well, that’s your opinion. Sit down, we’ve heard your opinion, thank you very much. Now we’re going to turn to people who are on the front lines of working on behalf of human rights.”
The man then finally got Clinton to engage with him in a heated way, a bit, by arguing against the UDHR, drawing Clinton’s derisive remark, “Oh yeah, well, you’re brilliant in your historical cherry-picking.” She then tried again to move on, to which the man responded by yelling, “What I want to hear is Hillary Rodham Clinton to denounce Joe Biden’s warmongering speech. He’s trying to push us to World War II!.” He added, “It’s not about Israel and Palestine. This isn’t football, it’s not Team America!”
Clinton then returned to engaging with the heckler, snapping back at him, “Well, I’m sorry, some of us are on ‘Team America’ despite our flaws and our problems.” The situation then devolved further, with the crowd largely joining Clinton in arguing with the man.
Conservative X personality Collin Rugg drew attention to the video on Twitter, saying, “NEW: Hillary Clinton gets in a yelling match with a man who blasts her for failing to call out Joe Biden for leading the U.S. into World War 3. This man is a hero 🔥”
