In a viral post to social media, cameras captured smiling tourists stopping national guardsmen for a photo during a massive crackdown on crime. Reacting to decades of poor management and violent crime, Trump decided to federalize DC police and activate hundreds of National Guard soldiers to bring order to the capital city.
For context, the operation has been a massive success with dozens of violent criminals taken off the streets. However, in a cynical attempt to advance their own political careers, Democrats, including the DC mayor, Mayor Muriel Bowser, have opposed the crime cleanup.
In any case, the video shows a blond woman posing for a photograph alongside several soldiers. Smiling for the cameras, the soldiers appear relaxed and at ease. Next, a man, presumably her husband, joined the lineup for another photograph. After the picture was taken, the guardsman went back to work, and the tourists shook their hands and waved.
As we reported, Taylor Rogers, White House spokesperson, quantified the success of the operation. She noted, “Nearly 70 people were arrested in Washington, D.C. on Saturday night, as President Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime continues … A total of 68 people were arrested on Saturday night.”
Building on this point, she noted, “The crackdown and Trump’s leadership generally is quickly making our nation’s capital safer. In less than ten days, over 300 dangerous criminals have already been arrested and taken off the streets of Washington, D.C.”
Tying these results to Trump’s campaign promises, Rogers confidently declared, “President Trump is delivering on his campaign promise to clean up this city and restore American Greatness to our cherished capital.”
Expressing his thoughts on the arrests, President Trump took to Truth Social to announce, “D.C. gave Fake Crime numbers in order to create a false illusion of safety. This is a very bad and dangerous thing to do, and they are under serious investigation for so doing!”

Quantifying the scope of the issue, the president added, “Until 4 days ago, Washington, D.C., was the most unsafe ‘city’ in the United States, and perhaps the World. Now, in just a short period of time, it is perhaps the safest and getting better every single hour! People are flocking to D.C. again, and soon, the beautification will begin!”
As we reported, woke activists and local politicians have lost their minds after the highly successful operation. Keya Chatterjee, executive director of Free DC, whined, “This goes beyond the sort of words people have been using, like ‘unprecedented and ‘unusual.’ This is just authoritarianism.”
Similarly, infamous race baiter Reverend Al Sharpton claimed, “Donald Trump was inspired to take this disgusting, dangerous, and derogatory action solely out of self-interest. Let’s call the inspiration for this assault on a majority Black city for what it is: another bid to distract his angry, frustrated base over his administration’s handling of the Epstein files.”

Mayor Muriel Bowser also used the crime prevention plan as a way to advocate for her own power. She said, “My message to residents is this. We know that access to our democracy is tenuous. That is why you have heard me and many Washingtonians before me advocate for full statehood.”
