WATCH: “Hanoi Jane” Fonda Becomes “Tehran Jane” with Total Meltdown Over Operation Epic Fury Strikes

In a predictably pearl-clutching response to President Donald Trump’s Operation Epic Fury strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran, the infamous actress Jane Fonda left her multi-million dollar California mansion to prattle on in public about how infuriated she is by the strikes. Predictably, her opposition was based not in America’s national interests, but in her fury over how much damage the strikes are inflicting on Iran.

As background, the Operation Epic Fury strikes came as a surprise to many, as it is unclear why now was chosen to start bombing the Iranian regime. However, the strikes appear to have so far been mostly a success, as the Iranian Navy has been mostly sunk, most of the leadership has been destroyed through targeted strikes, and the nation’s missile launchers have been targeted en masse.

Regardless, nearly the entirety of the political left has gone absolutely berserk over the strikes, reacting with fury to the idea that America is bombing the Iranian regime rather than endlessly and pointlessly negotiating with it to no real purpose or end, as has long been done. Many on the MAGA right were upset for more justified reasons, such as general skepticism of foreign wars, particularly in the Middle East.

Amongst those who freaked out was Jane Fonda, known as “Hanoi Jane” because of how she travelled to North Vietnam and posed with NVA soldiers, including the anti-aircraft artillery troopers who were frequently firing on American aircraft, something that many saw as treason. She went berserk over the idea that parts of Iran are being blown up.

In her total meltdown, the actress mainly commented on how the war is leading to destruction in Iran before disingenuously claiming to care about the lives of American service members. She said, “Right now, parents are pulling their children out of the rubble. This dangerous and insane war against Iran not only violates international law and our Constitution, but risks exploding into a vast war of massive proportion, taking the lives of many, including US service people.”

She then, infuriatingly, brought up the Vietnam War and the anti-war movement in which she played a major part in her seemingly treasonous role. She said, “It is yet again, another war based on false information. And I can’t help but think back to the Vietnam War, although it’s not written in history books, but the American anti-war movement had a lot to do with ending that war.”

She concluded, “I truly believe that enough people in this country have learned the lessons of the Vietnam War, of the Iraq war, the war in Afghanistan and the other unnecessary and illegal wars that we can say loud and clear, we the people of the United States are here to tell the Trump administration, you may wage this war in our names, But not with our consent.”
