WATCH: Gutfeld Triggers Tarlov Into Nuclear-Level Meltdown With One Basic Question

During a recent episode of Fox News’ successful program, The Five, co-host Greg Gutfeld, who is the current king of late-night television, asked Democratic co-host Jessica Tarlov a simple question that sent her spiraling into a meltdown over President Donald Trump. The question was a simple one. Gutfeld, along with another program host, Jesse Watters, wanted to know why liberals have issues with people supporting the president.

“I’m okay with you hating Trump, why aren’t you okay with me liking him? If you could just look in the mirror and answer that question, liberals, you would feel so much better,” Gutfeld said during the segment. Watters then posed the inquiry directly to Tarlov. “Do you have a theory why liberals care so much about that other people might like Trump?”

“Because he’s like a completely morally bankrupt person that’s imposing all of these…” Tarlov began, but was quickly cut off by Gutfeld, who asked her, “But why should you care that I like him? Why should you care?”  Tarlov fired back, “I have accepted that you like him. But I think it’s hard for people when they care about someone to say…”

Gutfeld popped back into the conversation saying, “Whoa, whoa, whoa. This is the perfect thing. Why do they care? Tell me why.” Tarlov then started explaining that Democrats care because a person who likes Trump and supports his agenda means they will demonstrate that support by voting for him and those who agree with him, which, according to her, “leads to bad policies..that make life harder for…”

That answer didn’t fly with Gutfeld as it didn’t provide a sufficient explanation for the extreme level of hate and anger the left has expressed toward individuals who support Trump and his America First agenda. Watters then flipped the conversation to focus on Tarlov’s comment about the president being “morally bankrupt,” saying, “She is misdiagnosing. It has nothing to do with morality.”

Tarlov shot back, “Of course it does.” Watters then explained that radical leftists “don’t support standards of morality,” adding, “You can do drugs. You can be homeless. You can hit people, rape people, let other murderers into the country. You can do all kinds of things. They don’t judge. They don’t judge!” Tarlov tried to break in and respond to the comment, but Watters and Gutfeld, now joined by host Paul Mauro, kept pushing.

“They’re going to let the Son of Sam out of jail,” Mauro said. Watters then told Tarlov to “Go talk to Bill Clinton about morality.” Tarlov responded, “You guys got evangelicals to support a guy who has cheated on every single wife he has had,” to which Gutfeld replied, “But who cares if I like him?” The Democratic co-host said, “I’ve said I don’t care. I have accepted it.”

Gutfeld once again asked Tarlov why her fellow Democrats get so angry and commit acts of violence against individuals who express support for President Trump. “No, but why do your peers… I am doing a Scott Jennings. Get your finger out of my face!” However, despite the repeated push for a true explanation, Tarlov was at a loss for words.
