Things once again got quite entertaining on Fox News Channel’s “The Five” as Greg Gutfeld lit into Jessica Tarlov with a vengeance, mercilessly calling out her lies live on air and exposing what is really going on, quite in contrast to what she claimed was happening. The basis of their argument was the DOJ’s recent revelations about the SPLC allegedly funding various far-right groups, causes, and events so that it could both claim various nasty ideologies are on the rise, thus garnering more donor dollars, and so it could promote the worst parts of the right for propaganda reasons.
FBI Director Kash Patel, describing the issue, said, “They lied to their donors, vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups — even utilizing the funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes.”
Amongst those incidents they allegedly funded, or provided funding to, was the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville. It was about that incident that Gutfeld and Tarlov argued. Giving a broad overview and describing their back and forth, X poster Gina Milan said, “HOLY SMOKES! 🔥🔥 Gutfeld just ripped Jessica Tarlov to shreds on The Five about the SPLC. She’s still claiming the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville was completely real and organic, even though it’s been proved the whole thing was funded. This is hands-down the best thing you’ll watch all day!”
The clip of the incident that went viral online consisted of Tarlov screaming at Gutfeld at the top of her lungs, insisting “What hate crime hoax?!” He responds, “And the liberal responds..uhhh, Jussie Smollett, anyone?” referencing the infamous Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax. She then kept trying to scream over him as he also pointed to the infamous Bubba Wallace noose incident.
Tarlov kept screaming and shouting at Gutfeld, yelling, “What hoax have you actually seen here? You don’t think that hundreds of people showed up at the Unite the Right rally that weren’t this informant, that weren’t persuaded by his vehicle that got them there?”
Tarlov then kept bombarding him with questions about what he thinks about the situation and why she thinks that the issue remains a real one despite the revelations about the SPLC, saying, “I don’t know. I wasn’t there. All I know is I never heard of it until the day that it happened. You know, you act like you can take the word for a bunch of corrupt people.”
She kept that routine up, and Gutfeld lost it. He fired back, “You’re saying this wasn’t created. You’re saying this just was an organic event, just like every left wing event. It just happened. All these right wingers showed up. Nobody else knew about it. And you know what? Nobody. Nobody. Okay, okay, let me do the simplest analogy. This is like, this is like, when somebody says, on average, men are taller and way more than women, and then one woman goes, but what about her? They point to a WNBA player.”

Continuing after that humorous example, he said, “Yes, Jessica, I’ll give you. There probably is a bigot somewhere, but you guys created a false flag that there was this immense movement going on in this country that then put targets on people like Charlie Kirk’s back and he’s dead, and a lot of other people were either threatened, physically attacked because of a false flag, which painted an entire basically millions of people as white supremacists. You guys ran with it.”
He added, “Imagine if Trump had not won and Kamala Harris had won, imagine where the SPLC would be. Now, imagine how torn apart this country would be. And by the way, I hope that this thing mends, but I don’t know, because there are people like you, Jessica, who have such a sunk cost in this belief that you were this is a belief you were tricked into believing, to think that there’s all of there’s all these racists hiding behind every Cracker Barrel. No, you were the racists were they were the anti racist black activists who saw this as a way to go after whites.”
He concluded, “This racism that you created was designed to allow for a different kind of racism. And I go back to the contrast. We don’t have to defend our racist because we don’t know who they are, because you create them. Meanwhile, we can’t. We don’t have to make up your racist because you’re standing there with us on biker these guys are right there in our face.”
