Mark Schmitz is the father of a Marine, 20-year-old Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, who was killed at Kabul airport’s Abbey Gate when the infamous suicide bombing occurred during the disastrous withdrawal from that country. Hels also furious with President Biden for both what went on and what happened afterward.
Such is what came out during a hearing in the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the utter catastrophe that was our hurried and poorly executed pullout from Afghanistan, namely the Marines that were killed by a suicide bomber during the chaos at the airport in the final days of US involvement.
Watch Mr. Schmitza here:
Gold Star Father Mark Schmitz on President Biden: "We have seen what's going on in your family and even worse we've seen how you've been treated us as Gold Star families and there couldn't be anything more disgusting and cowardly than how you've treated us." pic.twitter.com/T37TAHIGWm

As you can hear in the clip, he ripped into the lack of accountability for the tragedy, noting that no one in the military or civilian leadership has paid the price for the disastrous failure. He said, “Not a single person has been held accountable, or so called leader can’t seem to even utter their names in public Not even once.”
Continuing, he ripped Biden for acting far differently than how he betrays himself and for how he treats the families of those who died during the rush toward the airport, saying that Biden’s behavior has been “disgusting and cowardly.”
As he put it, “Mr. Biden has run his entire political campaign for 50 years as the family man. Well, I’ve got news for you, sir. The curtain has been lifting, and that campaign slogan will never work again. We have seen what’s going on in your family. And even worse, we’ve seen how you’ve been treating us as Gold Star families, and there couldn’t be anything more disgusting and cowardly than the way you have treated us. You are a disgrace to this nation.”
That’s when he said Biden has no business ordering young men better than he to their deaths and wishes he had said so to Biden’s face, saying, “You have no business having ultimate command over our military, and I regret not saying that to your face when I had the opportunity in Dover. I felt it more like more important to bite my tongue.”
He then utterly eviscerated Biden, blasting him for checking his watch as the bodies of the fallen Marines returned home, saying, “But I also had more important things on my mind at that time, like receiving my son’s lifeless body stateside. While I stood there on the tarmac watching you check your watch over and over again. All I wanted to do was shout out it’s two fucking 30, asshole.”
He then said that he is done biting his tongue and is ready to speak out against the Biden regime, saying, “But out of respect to the other grieving families I bit my tongue once again. Well, as you can probably tell by now, I’m done biting my tongue. You, sir, stole their lives, their futures, their dreams. In a ripped apart 13 families you cannot even man up and admit that you, sir, gave us all the title Gold Star family. You, sir, discredit honor and integrity too.”
