On a recent episode of CNN’s “The Situation Room,” former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) continued to elevate the feud she was having with President Donald Trump by referring to him as “mentally unstable.” During the show, co-host Pamela Brown said, “President Trump posted about the special election on social media yesterday, and he wrote, Marjorie, traitor — as you know, he has called it out in the past. Green turns to brown under stress.”
Brown continued reciting Trump’s post, saying, “Listen, nothing wrong with the last name Brown, I’m just ad-libbing that part — seat in Congress has been taken over by a wonderful and talented man, Clay Fuller, who won convincingly. And despite the stench left by Greene, congratulations to Clay Fuller, a very large improvement over his deranged predecessor. How do you respond to that?”
Greene responded to the comment by telling Brown, “I don’t have to respond to that. You don’t respond to bullies, and you don’t pay attention to people when they’re failing. And President Trump is failing right now. And so he’s a man that’s lashing out. I mean, after all, this is the man who threatened to wipe out an entire civilization of people.”
“You can’t respond to someone like that. They’re mentally unstable. But really, I do wish Clay Fuller great success. And, of course, I hope all the best for Georgia’s 14th District,” the former congresswoman concluded, according to Breitbart News. Part of Greene’s remarks referenced a Truth Social post made just before the negotiation deadline for Iran.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” Trump wrote in his post. When the comments were first made, it instantly sparked backlash from both Democrats and Republicans. Greene doubled down on her criticism of President Trump and his choice words for the oppressive Islamic regime ruling the people of Iran.
“It’s absolute madness. How can any person that is mentally stable call for an entire civilization of people to be murdered, to be wiped out, to never come back again?” she added. “That’s what the president called for, and that shows that there’s serious instability in his thinking that he would — not only would he even say that in a private room, perhaps with his advisors — but actually go to his megaphone, his Truth Social and post that for the entire country and the entire world.”
She then told CNN, “This is — it’s unreal. This should never be tolerated. I know it’s a very difficult, hard stretch to see it actually coming through, but the conversation needs to be had. And he’s out of control, and people within the administration need to step up, take responsibility and rein this in.” The battle between Greene, a former ally of the president, and Trump started in late 2025 as the result of her push for the release of the Epstein files.

Tensions began to rise from there as Greene slammed Trump over his foreign policy and for meetings with foreign leaders, as well as criticisms of his health care stances, which she claims do not align with “America First” principles. President Trump was not happy with Greene and her assessments, referring to her as a “traitor.” Things reached a boiling point and Greene decided not run for reelection.
