WATCH: Families of Kids Killed by Illegal Aliens Release Powerful Thanksgiving Video Thanking President Trump for His Border Security Efforts

On Thanksgiving 2025, The American Border Story released an 11-minute video featuring more than a dozen “Angel Families,” a term for parents and relatives who lost loved ones to crimes committed by illegal immigrants or to fentanyl. These parents issued a statement personally thanking President Trump for his mass deportations and firm stance on border security.

Families offered an insight into the real cost of illegal immigration, such as Tammy Nobles, the mother of murdered Kayla Hamilton, and Joe Abraham, whose daughter Katie was killed by an illegal-immigrant drunk driver. Summarizing their feelings, the families praised Trump as “the greatest president,” expressed gratitude for safer borders, and urged continued enforcement.

Starting off the video, Joe Abraham made it clear that nobody should have to go through what he did. “We really don’t want any other families to have to suffer the pain and despair that we’re going through right now. So keep it up, and we appreciate you. Happy Thanksgiving,” Abraham said.

Likewise, Anne Fundner, the mother of 15-year-old Weston, who was killed by fentanyl poisoning, thanked Trump directly, saying, “You spoke his name with honor and reminded me that Weston is looking down so proud… President Trump, you work tirelessly, nonstop to protect Americans and keep our country safe. I am so honored and grateful to call you my president. I thank God for you every single day,” adding, “Thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do for families like mine.”

Similarly, Agnes Gibboney, who lost her son to an illegal immigrant murderer, said, “Thank you and your administration for securing our borders and deporting criminal illegal aliens and for keeping Americans safe. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.”

Concluding the video, Alexis Wilkins, a country artist who narrated the video, said, “Thank you, Mr. President, for the leaps and bounds made in infrastructure, in legislation, and in justice for these families and everything that they have been through… Happy Thanksgiving.”

Additionally, Mary Ann Mendoza, Angel Mom, and the founder of Angel Families, offered her thoughts to Fox News. “President Trump is the first leader in decades who treated our pain as a national emergency instead of a political inconvenience,” she noted.

Reacting to this video on social media, Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX) declared, “These families have suffered unimaginable loss, yet they still find the strength to give thanks to a president who finally listened to them. That says everything.”

Continuing his comments, Congressman Nehls said, “President Trump and his administration are restoring law and order and standing up for American citizens. Millions of illegal aliens flooded our country during the Biden Administration, and many of them took the lives of Americans, such as Jocelyn Nungaray, Laken Riley, and Rachel Morin.”

Offering a popular solution, he said, “By codifying the VOICE Office, which was reopened last month by Secretary Noem, no future president can close the office again, ensuring that families that fall victim to illegal alien crimes are supported, not left behind.”
