In yet another jaw-dropper from ABC’s “The View,” co-host Joy Behar said that she agrees with President Donald Trump and thinks former FBI Director James Comey should be prosecuted for his horrid actions, though the specific incident she referenced was somewhat different from the one that has the Trump Administration so upset.
As background, on Thursday, September 25, Mr. Comey was indicted on two charges. One of the charges was making false statements to Congress and the other of which was obstruction of a congressional proceeding. The charges stem from Mr. Comey’s allegedly false testimony about the FBI’s involvement in the 2016 Russia Hoax and related investigation before the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 30, 2020.
Behar, on the other hand, was insistent that Comey deserves to be charged not for anything that happened during the Russiagate investigation but rather for his handling of the investigation into Hillary’s laptop in 2016, during the election, which might have tilted the scales in President Trump’s direction.
Such is what she said during a rambling segment of “The View” on Thursday, September 25, arguing that Comey deserves to be punished for his various misdeeds. Behar began her commentary by saying, “You know, I don’t like Comey. I agree with Trump on this one… I don’t like what he did to Hillary.”
Continuing, Behar indicated that she was referring to Comey’s reopening of the Clinton email investigation right before the election, an incident that was something of a blow to Clinton in the public eye. She said, “At the last minute to bring out this baloney, email baloney thing?”
Her co-host, Sara Haines, then chimed in and asked if she was arguing that Comey should be prosecuted by the DOJ, as is currently happening. Behar equivocated somewhat, noting that she does agree with President Trump that Comey is terrible. She said, “No, no. I’m just saying. But I rarely have something I agree with Trump on. So, this is one thing.”

President Trump, for his part, responded to the news that Comey had been indicted by saying, “JUSTICE IN AMERICA! One of the worst human beings this Country has ever been exposed to is James Comey, the former Corrupt Head of the FBI. Today he was indicted by a Grand Jury on two felony counts for various illegal and unlawful acts. He has been so bad for our Country, for so long, and is now at the beginning of being held responsible for his crimes against our Nation. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
In another post, he said, “Whether you like Corrupt James Comey or not, and I can’t imagine too many people liking him, HE LIED! It is not a complex lie, it’s a very simple, but IMPORTANT one. There is no way he can explain his way out of it. He is a Dirty Cop, and always has been, but he was just assigned a Crooked Joe Biden appointed Judge, so he’s off to a very good start.”
He continued, “Nevertheless, words are words, and he wasn’t hedging or in dispute. He was very positive, there was no doubt in his mind about what he said, or meant by saying it. He left himself ZERO margin of error on a big and important answer to a question. He just got unexpectedly caught. James “Dirty Cop” Comey was a destroyer of lives. He knew exactly what he was saying, and that it was a very serious and far reaching lie for which a very big price must be paid! President DJT”
