American troops snatched Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro out of his bed in Caracas overnight on January 2 to 3, doing so without suffering a single casualty, and while leftist media personalities and foreign competitor nations publicly denounced the operation, even CNN admitted that the operation was impressive and will impress our competitors.
Such is what senior military analyst James Stavridis argued during an appearance on CNN, saying that while America’s competitors and adversaries will loudly condemn the Delta Force operation in public, the reality behind closed doors is far different, and really they are quite impressed with what the American military machine could accomplish so far from home.
That came when Stavridis was asked how the three main American military and economic competitors and adversaries, Russia, Iran, and China, are receiving the news. He was asked, “Tell me how this news is being received in Iran. How is it being received in Russia? How is it being received in China?”
Responding, the CNN military analyst noted that while the three of them might publicly rend their clothes and bemoan the operation, in reality, they will be quite impressed by what Delta Force and the other units involved accomplished. He said, “All three, predictably, will deplore this kind of activity publicly. Privately, they will be impressed with the military capability here.”
Adding to that, he argued that not a single one of our competitors could have accomplished a military operation like this, as the ability to quickly locate a foreign leader, track him down, and capture him without suffering a single casualty, thousands of miles from home, while deploying from the sea, is incredibly impressive.
He said, on that point, “I would argue none of those three militaries could have executed an operation like this. And again, we just, we tend to just breeze by this. But the idea of finding, fixing, kidnapping, taking him out alive, with his wife, no casualties on the side of the US. That’s an extraordinary military operation.”
Concluding, he again noted that while they might denounce the operation in public, in private, they are quite impressed. He said, “So I think while there will be a lot of public condemnation of the United States, predictably, from those three nations, privately, they’ll be saying to themselves, ‘hmm, that’s a very capable military.’ That’s not a bad thought to pop up in Beijing, Moscow, and Tehran these days.”

That came after a mid-December statement in which he indicated that the oil was a major issue, saying, “Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America. The illegitimate Maduro Regime is using Oil from these stolen Oil Fields to finance themselves, Drug Terrorism, Human Trafficking, Murder, and Kidnapping.
