During the Sunday matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers, an irate Eagles fan went on a disgusting and profane tirade against a woman, who was cheering for the opposing team. The woman’s fiance recorded the incident, in which he confronted the Eagles fan for berating his wife with vile insults.
The footage shows the man in Eagles gear insulting the woman, calling her names such as “dumb” and “ugly” in a profane manner. After the man, Alexander Basara, defended his wife, asking the man to stop insulting his fiance, the Eagles fan fired back, “She’s an ugly, dumb c*nt. You going to do anything? Shut the f*ck up and watch the game,” he appeared to say.
Basara subsequently shared the clip with X and asked the internet to track down the man and hold him accountable. Basara wrote, “What it’s like going to Philly just trying to root for your team… Unprovoked, uncalled for. Packers twitter, help me out and find this guy…. this is not okay I hate that my fiancé had this happen simply cheering for her team.”
After the clip went viral, the man, identified as Ryan Caldwell, was banned from watching the Eagles play and was also fired from his job at BCT Partners, a DEI-centered management consulting firm. Caldwell released a statement about his conduct after the clip of him went viral, garnering tens of millions of views across social media.
“While attending an NFL game last Sunday to support my beloved Philadelphia Eagles, an incident occurred that I deeply regret,” he said. “What began as banter with two Packers fans sitting near me escalated to something more serious, and I said things that were unacceptable. In the heat of the moment, I chose unforgiving words to address one of the fans, Ms. Ally Keller.”
Caldwell’s statement then offered an apology to Keller, stating, “I want to sincerely apologize to Ms. Keller for those words, and to my wife, family, and friends, my former employer and colleagues, Packer fans, Eagle fans, the Philadelphia Eagles, the City of Philadelphia, and all who were offended. That said, there are two sides to every story.
However, Caldwell seemingly defended himself, claiming his words were provoked. “The video clip circulating online does not reflect the full context of what transpired, and my actions were not without provocation. I will live with this experience, and I am certainly paying a personal price. For those who don’t know me, this incident does not reflect my values or the respect I have for others and is not indicative of the person I am,” he said.

Furthermore, BTC Partners released a statement explaining that Caldwell is no longer employed at the company. “The language was vile, it was disgusting, it was unacceptable and horrific,” BCT Partners founder Randal Pinkett said. “It was diametrically opposed to the values that we espouse at BCT. We’re a company that’s founded on inclusion, on respect, on dignity and the behavior was just in complete contrary to everything that we stand for at this organization.”
