Television personality Dr. Phil recently accompanied Trump administration border czar Tom Homan on an ICE raid, being on-scene to document the arrest of illegal immigrants. Just days after his inauguration, President Donald Trump has moved quickly to enact his mass deportation agenda, vowing to reverse the unprecedented illegal immigration that occurred under the Biden administration.
Dr. Phil, whose real name is Phil McGraw, stood beside Tom Homan and ICE agents who had just arrested an individual who was residing in the United States illegally. “Where are you from?” Dr. Phil asked the man, who responded that he was born in Thailand. Where I was born, where I’m from, where are you born?” Homan then asked the individual if he had been deported before, to which he denied.
The famous television personality proceeded to ask the individual, “What have you been charged with?” which he declined to answer stating he needed to speak with his lawyer. When asked if he was a citizen of the United States, he confirmed that he was not. At one point, the man recognized Dr. Phil, acknowledging that he had seen him on TV before.
Homan chimed in, noting the severity of the crimes the man is allegedly charged with. “This is an example of sanctuary cities, right? We got an illegal alien convicted of sex crimes involving children. He’s walking the streets of Chicago. Again, the downfall, the problem with the sanctuary city that people like us walking the street rather than law enforcement working with federal agents. This is what we’re dealing with,” he said.
Dr. Phil point-blank asked the man, “You’ve been charged with sex crimes with children?” The man replied, “Not really,” without elaborating. Wrapping up the interaction, Homan replied, “Let’s take him in and process him and lock and up.” Dr. Phil posted the clip to X, writing, “The first arrest in Chicago with
@RealTomHoman was a convicted sex offender and internet predator from Thailand.”
The American Tribune reported on Dr. Phil’s visit to the U.S.-Mexico border in early 2024, exposing how large sections of the border were allegedly completely unguarded, allowing unfettered illegal immigration into the American interior. “Texas law enforcement has seized over 454 million lethal doses of fentanyl during the border mission,” Phil said.
The TV personality continued, “Abbott has said that the federal government has broken the pacts between the United States federal government and the states. Governor Abbott says President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and is even violated.” Outlining the consequences, Phil said, “The result is a humanitarian crisis unlike anything we’ve seen before, smashing records for illegal immigration by wasting taxpayer dollars to tear open Texas border, to tear open Texas border security infrastructure.”
