WATCH: Doocy and KJP Get in Heated Back and Forth Over Hunter Biden’s Art and the Potential for Influence Peddling

In another episode of the classic Peter Doocy and Karine Jean Pierre press conference battle, the Fox News White House correspondent pressing on an issue that makes the White House look bad and the White House press secretary refusing to give a straight answer.

It started with Doocy asking about Hunter’s lifestyle in Malibu and the expensive Secret Service accommodations set up to protect him. He asked, “Something else: The Secret Service is paying $16,000 a month now to stage near Hunter Biden in Malibu. Who’s paying for that?” But KJP refused to say if the American taxpayer is footing the bill for the lavish lifestyle, saying, “That’s a question for the Secret Service.”

Doocy, somewhat surprisingly, moved on despite having the Bidens to rights. But he didn’t move on entirely, instead shifting over to Hunter Biden’s art and the potential for corruption and influence-peddling with it now that he’s living it up in Malibue and selling his paintings to fund that lavish lifestyle.

He asked, “Okay. Hunter Biden is reportedly selling art to pay for his $15,800 a month rent in Malibu. How can you guarantee that people are not going to be buying this art to gain favor with the President?” And KJP again attempted to dodge, saying, “That is a question for Hunter Biden and his representatives.”

Doocy emphasized that it is an important question that she should answer because it relates to “ethics at the White House,” but KJP just said, “I hear your question.” So Doocy kept pressing, asking, “We know that one of the art buyers got a job from the Biden administration. Can you guarantee that there is no quid pro quo?”

And despite it being a relevant question, she still refused to answer, saying “I’m not going to get involved in this. That is a question for Hunter Biden’s representatives.” Doocy took the opportunity to get another jibe in on the topic of Biden family corruption, saying, “So — but we know that from a Hunter Biden associate now that he sold the appearance of access to then-Vice President Biden. Are you confident that he has stopped doing that?”

KJP maintained that “That is a question for Hunter Biden and his representatives” and Doocy pressed on its relevance, saying, “If somebody is selling the appearance of access to the White House that is a question for the White House.”

KJP insisted that that wasn’t the case, saying, “No, that is — that is your — your — I don’t know — how you’re perceiving that,” as Doocy shot back, “That is my reading of sworn testimony by Devon Archer.”

Doocy pressed again, this time about the Devon Archer testimony, asking, “So, this testimony — since the last time that I was in here, Devon Archer talks about how he and Hunter Biden tried to profit off the Biden brand. What is the Biden brand?” But KJP refused to answer, saying, “I’m not going to get into it from here. I’m not going to get into it from here. We’re going to move on.”
