Former President Donald Trump and professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau recently met up and played golf at the Republican presidential nominee’s Bedminster, New Jersey golf course for a fundraising activity. Footage of the two on the course was uploaded to DeChambeau’s YouTube channel, garnering millions of views. The video has gained so much interest that it landed on the number one spot on YouTube’s trending videos category.
The video “Can I Break 50 with President Donald Trump?” featured the two golf connoisseurs attempting to shoot a round of fewer than 50 strokes to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. At the end of the round, DeChambeau and the former president shot exactly 50 from the red tees at the Trump Bedminster course, constituting 22 under par. At many moments throughout the footage, Trump showcased his golf skills and ability to keep up with DeChambeau, scoring a solo Eagle at one point.
DeChambeau, who organized the fundraiser for the veteran-based nonprofit organization, managed to bring in nearly $24,000 for the cause as of the writing of this article. The description of the event read, “Join Bryson DeChambeau and Former President Trump in making a difference by supporting the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and honoring the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Together we can help provide much needed support dedicated to empowering wounded veterans, their families, and help our warriors thrive in civilian life.”
At another point during the day, Trump hit an impressive shot onto the green on a par hole, he took the opportunity to call out President Biden’s golf game. “You think Biden can do that? I don’t know. We had an argument about golf. Can you believe it?” the former president stated. Trump and Biden had argued about their respective golf abilities during the last presidential debate.
The American Tribune recently reported on footage from the fundraising event showing DeChambeau and Trump riding in the golf car together and discussing the Republican presidential candidate’s taste in music. “Top five songs of all time…you have that?” DeChambeau asked Trump, who is known for his DJing as much as his golfing.
Trump answered, “Well, yeah, I have a great playlist. I mean.. have a playlist. So this is stuff that wouldn’t have happened years ago. This is all good stuff.” The 77-year-old then quipped with the much younger DeChambeau, “It’s too old for you.” The professional golfer then asked, “What’s your favorite, Frank Sinatra, right?” Trump responded, “Ooh, I have a lot of. Frank Sinatra. Yeah, will play this when we’re finished, breaking this record if that ever happens.” After playing the song from his playlist, Trump said, “Nice and soothing.” DeChambeau agreed, “It is calming as ever.”
The Tribune also reported on the comments from numerous sports stars, including DeChambeau, who extended their condolences in the wake of the failed assassination attempt at his Butler, Pennsylvania rally. “Violence deserves no place in this world. Praying for President Trump and his family. Wishing for a speedy recovery,” DeChambeau wrote on X.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III wrote on X, “I don’t care how much you love or hate President Donald Trump, now is not the time to play politics. Pray for him, his family and anyone else impacted by today’s shooting.” Connor McGregor also weighed in, “A 78 year old multiple billionaire he should be on a yacht on the med touring golf courses. But he is not. He is in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! Running for the love of his country! God speed Donald! God bless the United States.”
