In an absolutely jaw-dropping and infuriating, if long-suspected, revelation announced via Fox News, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) revealed that the Biden Administration engaged in a massive scheme to not just allow millions of illegal aliens into the country, but to issue them Social Security numbers and get them on welfare programs like Medicaid.
As background, one of DOGE’s main objectives was attempting to trim federal outflows by slamming the door shut on fraud that pilfers money from American public assistance programs, such as Social Security, food stamps, and Medicaid. One major vector of fraud was that countless illegal aliens had been allowed to access the programs.
Now, it has been revealed that the waste, fraud, and abuse was at least as large as could be imagined. Such is what Fox Business’s Stuart Varney exposed in a powerful segment, noting that the “immigration asylum disaster” has burdened America’s public assistance programs with huge numbers of foreigners.
Beginning, Varney noted that work authorizations were handed out like candy to illegal aliens claiming asylum, saying, “DOGE exposed our immigration asylum disaster. That was the tip of the iceberg. Now here’s the story: DOGE has found that immigration gave a work authorization document to illegals just five months after they filed for asylum.”
Continuing, he noted that the massive scheme allowed them to remain here and work while their spurious claims slowly inched through the immigration system, saying, “That document allowed them to work while they waited to hear whether their asylum request had been accepted or denied, so they could work a,s an illegal knowing it would take years before their case was heard.”
Turning to Social Security, in particular, Varney noted that those millions upon millions of aliens were then also handed Social Security numbers without any real checks or restrictions, saying, “The Immigration Department mailed them a Social Security number, no interview, no proof of identity, just put it in the mail.”
Building on that by giving details on the millions of illegals who were issued numbers in the Biden years, Varney then said, “Here’s your number in 2021, DOGE says 270,000 new aliens were issued Social Security numbers, 590,000 in 2022, 964,000 in 2023, and 2.1 million in 24, right before Biden left office.”

Still not done, Varney continued by adding that well over a million aliens are receiving Medicaid because of the Biden era program, and many who were issued driver’s licenses illegally voted. He said, “DOGE also discovered that 1.3 million aliens are now receiving Medicaid. Millions received driver’s licenses, some registered to vote, and DOGE says some actually did vote.”
Concluding, he noted that cutting out the massive fraud and waste of the sort Biden allowed is what would save Social Security and Medicaid, not destroy it, saying, “Try and square that against Democrat claims that Musk is destroying Social Security and cutting Medicaid. He’s not destroying, he’s weeding out people who don’t qualify. Who is really guilty of misinformation? In this case, it is not Elon Musk.”
