WATCH: Dennis Quaid Blasts “Weaponization of the Justice System,” Says He Will Vote for Trump

Famous actor Dennis Quaid recently sounded off on the “weaponization of the justice system” against former President Donald Trump.  This and Trump’s policy stances have motivated Quaid to vote for Trump in the upcoming election.

Quaid made the comments during a recent appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” where he expressed his support for Trump. “People might call him an a-hole, but he’s my a-hole,” the actor proudly stated.

He further addressed how he has seen the justice system mobilize against Trump in the legal battles he has endured before the election. Quaid suggested this was a threat to the Constitution.  “I think I’m gonna vote for him in the next election,” he told Piers Morgan. “It just makes sense. I was ready not to vote for Trump, until what I saw is, more than politics, I see a weaponization of our justice system and a challenge to our Constitution.”

“Trump is the most investigated person, probably in the history of the world, and they haven’t been able to really get him on anything,” he said, illustrating the scale to which they have tried to prosecute the GOP frontrunner.

Morgan questioned Quaid about whether a voter needed to like Trump, per se, to vote for him.  The actor responded, noting that while he didn’t agree with all of Trump’s rhetoric, “But as president… the only thing I liked about Trump was everything he did.”

Quaid proceeded to list a number of prominent accomplishments under the Trump administration, such as rapidly defeating ISIS, his dominance on the international stage, and his tough-on-China attitude.  “What he did with Korea, with Rocket Baby, the way he defeated ISIS in three weeks. You know, people don’t even remember it happened so fast. How he stood up for us overseas. The way he responded to China. He stands up to people and that’s what makes him a leader. Rather than, what I kind of compare it to, what was going on in Jimmy Carter’s administration, where we’re trying to be everybody’s friend and pal,” he continued.

“And there’s some evil people and bad actors in this world and so, you know, people might call [Trump] an a–hole but he’s my a–hole,” Quaid said.  “I’ll tell you one true thing about him is that I really feel that he is working for the American people. That’s what he’s all about, and I do believe that to be true and sincere,” he added.  Watch Quaid’s comments below:

The American Tribune reported on other remarks from Quaid, in which he praised Trump for his visits to minority communities, such as the Bronx, where he recently hosted a massive rally.  “I really admire Trump for going into the neighborhoods,” Quaid told Fox News host Jesse Watters. “You know, people relate to that. They really do. If anything, all these events that been conspiring against him have actually made him more human to people.”

He added, “Donald Trump has been talking about cleaning house, which, you know, kind of making a clean sweep to start over. That doesn’t mean being a dictator. That just means that we started doing what the American people have asked us to do.”
