WATCH: Democrat Senator Turns Beet Red, Shouts with Anger after Getting Called Out to His Face for Alleged Corruption in Explosive Senate Hearing

During his February 2025 Senate confirmation hearing, current Health and Human Services (HHS) Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr. effectively demolished Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) by accusing him of corruption for accepting significant campaign contributions from Big Pharma, despite his self-proclaimed socialist background.

For context, in his epic shutdown, Kennedy cited OpenSecrets data revealing massive donations to Sanders’ political campaign from individuals in the pharmaceutical sector. Sanders countered that the funds came from employees, not pharmaceutical companies or PACs, a contention which convinced nobody.

Breaking the story in a January 31, 2025, post to X, a prominent social media user said, “The
@SenateDems didn’t disappoint … they all acted like shrilling-Karens. @SenSanders was a special type of Karen though … he turned beet red when he was called out about his hypocrisy in receiving Pharmaceutical donations, and lied thru his teeth on National television when he denied it. ”

Continuing the epic takedown, the user said, “These are FACTS that are available to everyone and he lied. Then he was called out for ‘badgering the witness’. @TheDemocrats have gotten their way for so long they don’t know how to handle having their failures called out for the world to see,” adding, “America, and the world, are waking up and all the @DemSocialists @communistsusa ’s warts on Capital Hill are showing. It is a beautiful sight to see.”

As we reported, during the hearing, RFK Jr hammered the far left Senator, saying, “Bernie, the problem of corruption is not just in the federal agencies; it’s in Congress too. Almost all the members of this panel … including yourself, are accepting millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry and protecting their interests.”

Obviolsy freaking out, Bernie interjected, “I ran for president like you. I got millions and millions of contributions. They did not come from the executives. Not one nickel of PAC money from the pharmaceutical [industry]. They came from workers.”

Unconvinced by Bernie’s sputtering, RFK moved in for the rhetorical killshot, saying, “In 2020, you were the single largest receiver of pharmaceutical money.” To which the far-left senator responded, ‘Because I had small contributions from workers from all over this country.” Workers. Not a nickel from corporate PACs. … They came from workers.”

Continuing his meltdown on X, Bernie posted, “0 donations from pharma CEOs. 0 donations from Wall St. CEOs. 0 donations from oil company CEOs. 8 million from working people giving $27 at a time. I am very proud of that fact.”

Reacting to the former socialist’s freakout, one X user posted,”🔥 Absolute MIC DROP moment from Robert! 💥Bernie looked like he was about to spontaneously combust when his Pharma cash hypocrisy got called out. 🤡 The man turned beet red trying to lie his way out—ON NATIONAL TV. 🤥,” adding, “America is waking up, and the corruptocrats on Capitol Hill are running out of places to hide. 🔥”
