WATCH: Democrat Senator Goes Ballistic, Claims ICE Detaining Illegal Aliens Is Unconstitutional

In yet another rendition of Democratic lawmakers going absolutely ballistic over the steps that ICE is taking to protect America from criminal illegal aliens, Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) went berserk over the fact that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is coming up with clever ways to go on the assault against illegal immigration.

Specifically, Blumenthal was incensed over ICE raiding a Home Depot in Los Angeles, claiming that when they hid in a box truck before springing out and chasing down illegal aliens, they had used a “Trojan Horse” and that constituted “entrapment” and as such was unconstitutional in America. In reality, ICE agents simply hid and then arrested illegal aliens.

In any case, the segment in which Sen. Blumenthal had his freakout began with CNN Reporter Priscilla Alvarez saying, “The court ordered that the mayor was referencing is one that blocked the Trump administration from indiscriminately arresting and conducting these immigration raids in Los Angeles. So this is likely to come up in that court case.”

Continuing, Alvarez noted that the box truck company involved was seemingly annoyed with what happened, as if that mattered, saying, “Penske, the company of the moving truck, also reacting to this, saying they were not made aware that their truck was going to be used, but again, this is the epicenter of the aggressive enforcement operations and ones that are continuing to happen.”

Building on that, Jake Tapper, the host of “The Lead” program on which Alvarez and Sen. Blumenthal were appearing, asked, “Presumably the undocumented immigrants that were in that parking lot were day laborers looking for work, which happens all over the country, yes?” Alvarez said that was accurate.

Tapper then asked Sen. Blumenthal if the operation was a “Trojan horse,” and the far-left senator said, “It is a Trojan Horse operation that may involve entrapment, a violation of the Constitution, and, as was mentioned by Mayor Bass, also potentially a violation of the court order. But it involves a question of fundamental fairness.”

Continuing, Sen. Blumenthal said that there are major legal questions here because the illegals wanted to work, as if it matters that they saw a straw hat and thought work would be available, saying, “Here’s a government agency luring people who are seeking work with a Penske truck and a straw hat on the dashboard.”

Building on that, he insisted that because there is the potential that some of those that they arrested aren’t illegal aliens, the whole operation was wrong, telling Tapper, ” And then ICE agents coming out of the truck, bundling out of the truck, and then seizing these people who may be fully documented. They have no probable cause to arrest them. So there are serious legal questions involved here.”

    Watch him here:

Penske, in an angry statement released after the video of ICE agents hiding in one of its trucks and then springing from it to arrest illegals emerged, said, “Penske Truck Rental is aware of recent reports and videos regarding a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) operation in Los Angeles.”

Continuing, the company said, “Penske strictly prohibits the transportation of people in the cargo area of its vehicles under any circumstances. The company was not made aware that its trucks would be used in today’s operation and did not authorize this. Penske will reach out to DHS and reinforce its policy to avoid improper use of its vehicles in the future.”
