WATCH: Democrat Senator Ditches His Party to Brilliantly Expose Lies and Hypocrisy Emanating from Schumer’s Ranks

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) made a recent appearance on Jesse Watters’ prime-time Fox News show where he called out his colleagues for opposing President Donald Trump’s Operation Epic Fury, a military effort to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon and attacking critical allies like Israel and others located in the Middle East.

During the interview, Fetterman cited information in a Pew Research survey that found nearly 80% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents have a negative view of the nation of Israel. “That’s insane. you know, that’s our special ally,” Fetterman told Watters. “That’s the only place in the region that has the kind of values in the kinds of way that we live and what we want here.”

A total of 60% of adults who responded to the survey had an unfavorable view of Israel, with 59% saying they had “little or no confidence” in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when it comes to his ability to handle world affairs. The numbers were even lower for adults under 50, with 70% in this age range holding a negative view of the Jewish nation.

According to a report from AOL, Fetterman also shared his frustrations with Democrats who hold a negative view of Israel and the war effort in Iran, going on to say, “I think more Democrats should listen to me and say be on the right side of history and holding Iran accountable, and if you have to pick a side, pick our side, pick civilization, pick Israel.”

Fetterman affirmed his support for the U.S.-Israeli military operations with Israel, referring to it as “necessary.” Both countries launched their offensive against the oppressive Iranian regime at the end of February 2026 amid negotiations over Iran’s nuclear capabilities. The Pennsylvania senator slammed calls from Democrats for President Trump to be booted from office following his post that said, “a whole civilization will die tonight.”

“Why can’t we just root for our military?” Fetterman said during the interivew. “Why can’t we just say, I don’t have to agree [with] everything the president has done or the kind of things that he says?” An hour before the deadline, President Trump announced the countries had come to an agreement concerning a temporary ceasefire.

“We should be on the side of America, and we should be on the sides of civilization and the free world,” the senator went on to say. “And I’m on that side, and I don’t know why I’m the only Democrat that says those kinds of things at this point, and I’m going to continue to always vote to support our military, whatever’s required for them to do to hold Iran accountable and make that region more safe.”

Watters then asked Fetterman if Democrats were essentially rooting for Iran against the United States. “Well, whether, I wouldn’t say rooting, but they, if they have, you know, any words to say it’s against, you know, America, and it’s describing us, if anything is, if we’re we’re the aggressor, or we are, we are on the wrong side of history. And that’s just not true. I mean, every single president since Iran was the regime was created in 79 every single president wanted to address it, and they wanted to fix that, and they want to hold them accountable what they’ve done, and now all these things.”

“They have tried negotiating treaties, all other kinds of sanctions, and all that did not work. And now it was at the point after they, they created the kinds of funding of ten-seven, and they continued to underwrite the world’s most amount of terrorism. So Trump did something about it, and now, as a Democrat, I think we should all agree, hey, I think it’s a good thing that Iran has been held accountable,” Fetterman concluded.
