At a progressive town hall in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on March 19, 2026, with AOC and other Democrats, Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) admitted she has had more success working with Republican Sen. Dave McCormick than with her own party’s Sen. John Fetterman.
The comments, captured on video, quickly went viral as evidence of growing Democratic frustration with Fetterman’s increasingly independent, pro-Israel stance. As well as those who drew attention to the worry about cooperation between McCormick and the radical left.
In any case, an interviewer off-screen asked, “We are in a really unique place, and I hate to continue to beat this down, but it’s really important that you guys go home empowered, knowing that this Commonwealth really matters and that your conversation and your voice really, really matter. So what can you do?”
Responding, Rep Chrissy Houlahan claimed, “Well, we have this senator. We have two actually, and I have to be really honest with you, of the two, I of the two I have more success in working with the one on the R side.”
Building on this point, she said, “And so I ask that you all is to continue to help me, help you, help us by calling the office of your choice in the Senate, because that that’s where it lands right now, and
that’s where it lands right now, and that’s where it is right now.”
“And the other thing is to continue, as my colleagues will tell you, to educate each other on the cynicism that this bill is I do genuinely believe that there are a lot of people and I’m in that camp that believes that some form of ID is not unreasonable ask, but when you we do need to have it be something that’s affordable, that’s able to roll out in a time that makes sense,” she concluded, “This is not that, and so please talk to your neighbors about this, particularly in Citiesville, and the fact that we have a voice in it.”

Posting the incriminating clip, one user said, “US House Rep Chrissy Houlahan just put John Fetterman on blast at a town hall in Carlisle with AOC. Houlahan said that it’s easier working with McCormick than Fetterman.”
As we reported at the American Tribune, Fettermen most recently earned the ire of the woke left by going after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for her comments at the Munich Security Conference, where she claimed U.S. aid to Israel enabled a “genocide” in Gaza.
Responding, Senator Fetterman declared, ” I think that the most troubling thing for her views is she is just, you know, anti-Israel. I mean, and those views, and, you know, so clueless to sit in Germany and accuse Israel of genocide while you’re sitting in Germany, and how ignorant that is.”
