WATCH: Democrat Goes Berserk Outside ICE Facility Where She Got Arrested

Far-left, DHS agent-assaulting Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) returned to the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in New Jersey on Tuesday, December 23, to again push for it to be closed just months after she got involved in a scuffle in which she is accused of assaulting DHS agents who tried keeping her and other leftist activists out.

This time, Rep. McIver’s visit came after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported that a 41-year-old Haitian migrant named Jean Wilson Brutus, who had been detained at the facility, had died “from suspected natural causes” just a day after entering ICE custody in mid-December.

Rep. McIver went berserk over the Haitian migrant dying of what appear ot be natural causes. Writing about it on X in a post that captioned her statement on the matter, which was included as an image, she said, “A man detained at Delaney Hall in Newark has died in ICE custody. This is an outrage.”

Beginning the statement about the death, Rep. McIver wrote, “The Trump administration has shown a complete disregard for human rights, human dignity, and human life. This tragedy is not an isolated incident, and we have seen neglect, abuse, and cruelty from this administration as they strip people of the rights this country affords everyone, including those in detention. This incident demands immediate answers.”

Continuing the statement, the angry representative said, “We’ve heard about ICE detainees across the country being denied treatment and medication. I want to know exactly what happened, the circumstances of this individual’s confinement and treatment, and what care he did or did not receive.”

Concluding, she insisted that the role of Congress was to stand up for Haitian migrants, saying, “The Constitution grants Congress oversight authority for a reason. Someone must be able to speak for the voiceless, go where others are not allowed, and uncover the abuses that we know take place in the dark. Delaney Hall must be closed immediately and a full, independent, investigation needs to take place. I will continue to demand accountability and closely monitor the situation as we learn more.”

She then gave a berserk and bizarre press conference outside of the facility. Doing so, she declared, “We left out of there, a detainee told us this is not the America that we dreamed of back in their countries. They thought they would be able to come here and have a better life. These are not people who committed crimes that our president, our lying president, continues to say they are here on work visas, some work visas not even expired, and they’re in there on student visas, literally inside of a jail with approval from this country to be here.”

Then, appearing on MS NOW to discuss the matter, Rep. McIver said, “We went there because, as you mentioned, there was a death there, a 41-year-old, Mr. Brutus from Haiti. From Haiti died in 24 hours of being, you know, brought to that facility. And so we had a lot of questions. We wanted to know what was going on, what happened.”

She added, “And so we decided to return there, along with many other complaints that we continue to receive about this detention center resident, I mean, residents who tell me of the 10th congressional district that they cannot visit their loved ones, attorneys who tell me that they are having trouble, you know, speaking with their clients, and you know, the families who are inside of This Detention Center say they’re not getting adequate food and the conditions of the facility, and so me and my colleagues decided to return there for another oversight visit.”
