WATCH: Democrat Congresswoman Has Shouting Meltdown in Congress after Her Close Ties to Jeffrey Epstein Get Revealed

After newly released information revealed Rep. Stacey Plaskett texted Jeffrey Epstein during the 2019 Michael Cohen hearing, the Virgin Islands Democrat vainly defended her actions in an embarrassing meltdown delivered on the floor of the House, a meltdown that was fortunately captured on video.

In the rambling, shouting freakout session, Rep. Plaskett was casting around for any excuse. She first said that she didn’t recognize Epstein, and then pivoted to attacking President Trump in a desperate attempt to shift the blame away from herself. She also attacked the media for amplifying her connections to the shady financier.

As the American Tribune reported, Plaskett was texting the controversial billionaire during a congressional 2019 hearing. “Cohen brought up RONA – keeper of the secrets,” the financier texted. Responding to the Democrat asked, “RONA?? Quick I’m up next is that an acronym.” To which he answered, “Thats his assistant. Hes opened the door to questions re who are the other henchmen at trump org.”

Additionally, in 2019, she initially refused to return Epstein’s significant campaign contributions after his egregious actions came to light. However, she later said she would donate the funds “to Virgin Islands organizations that work with women and children,” claiming, “I am uncomfortable having received money from someone who has been accused of these egregious actions multiple times.”

In any case, Del. Plaskett began her meltdown by excusing her bizarre texts. “I first want to give you all a sense of what was happening that day. Everyone knows that at that hearing in February, the entire country was watching as Michael Cohen decided he was going to finally give up information about what was happening in the Trump world, the Trump enterprise,” she ranted.

Continuing her ill-worded screed, Plaskett whined about a terse interaction with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). Vainly attempting to cast off suspicion, she claimed, “That moment went viral, and I began to get innumerable …And I got a text from Jeffrey Epstein, who, at the time, was my constituent, who was not public knowledge at that time that he was under federal investigation, and who was sharing information with me.”

Stretching credibility, she argued, “And if you look at the transcript, you will see that I question Michael Cohen for five minutes. The Washington Post only shows you 30 seconds and takes from it one individual’s name that I got from Jeffrey Epstein and didn’t know who the individual was, and put that individual with a host of other individuals that I felt the committee should subpoena.”

Concluding her embarrassing defence, the delegate whined, “They’ve taken a text exchange which shows no participation, no assistance, no involvement in any illegal activity, and weaponized it for political theater, because that’s what this is… You want to talk about texting, texting felons. How often do you text PRESIDENT DONALD J TRUMP. That’s the individual we should be concerned about.”

Posting the wild clip, a prominent conservative said, “BREAKING: Stacey Plaskett is having a MELTDOWN after having a censure resolution brought against her. She looks PETRIFIED! All she has is “BUT TRUMP.” This woman should be EXILED from DC PERMANENTLY.”
