WATCH: Democrat Congressman Totally Freaks Out Live on Air, Vows Defiance after FBI Starts Investigating Him

In a very unintentionally funny appearance that came on Monday, December 8, on CNN’s “The Arena,” Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) lost it over the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) beginning to investigate him for a video he and a number of other Democrats made in which they called on members of the armed forces to refuse to follow President Trump’s orders.

For reference, the video, titled “Don’t Give Up the Ship,” was posted on Tuesday, November 18. It included statements from Sen. Elissa Slotkin, Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA), Rep. Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), and Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO). All six leftist lawmakers in the video spoke of their own service in the military and intelligence establishment while calling on troops to “refuse unlawful orders.”

In the wake of that video, the Trump Administration, along with the president himself, alleged that those involved had broken the law by encouraging sedition and thus ought to face serious consequences for having done so, with the Pentagon warning that Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) might even be recalled to service and face a court-martial.

In any case, broaching the question of how that investigation is going to Rep. Crow, CNN host Kasie Hunt asked, “I want to ask you for an update on the FBI investigation into you and the five of your colleagues who were featured in that video. Has the FBI made additional contact with you? Do you plan to sit for that FBI interview?”

Responding, Rep. Crow replied to Hunt by saying that the FBI is going after him, and then breathlessly insisted that he would not be intimidated by the law enforcement authorities. He said, “Yeah, there have been multiple outreaches by the FBI. Listen, I’m not going to be threatened. I’m not going to be intimidated.”

He then said that facing consequences for calling on service members to commit treason is tyranny and the weaponization of law enforcement, saying, “Let’s be clear about what this is. There is no basis in law and fact for their investigation. Donald Trump is weaponizing the Federal Bureau of Investigation and pulling it away from counterterrorism operations, pulling it away from focusing on elder fraud, from focusing on organized crime, all the important things he is instead using it to attack his political opponents, me and others, which should upset every American, not just for what it is, but for what it’s not doing because of the detours and the distractions that Donald Trump is having its focus on.”

Concluding, he said, “I’m not going to be threatened. I’m not going to back away from this. And no, we are going to treat this for exactly what it is, a, an attempt to threaten and intimidate members of Congress who are doing their job and who are upholding the law. And I am sure as hell not going to back away from that.”

Issuing a statement on the matter in late November, Rep. Crow said, “President Trump is using the FBI as a tool to intimidate and harass members of Congress. Yesterday, the FBI contacted the House and Senate Sergeants at Arms requesting interviews. No amount of intimidation or harassment will ever stop us from doing our jobs and honoring our Constitution. We swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. That oath lasts a lifetime, and we intend to keep it. We will not be bullied. We will never give up the ship.”
