In an alarming announcement, the Trump Administration’s Senior Policy Advisor Stephen Miller revealed that alleged international fraudsters are infiltrating America and using fake Social Security numbers and identities to steal billions and possibly up to $1 trillion from US taxpayer-funded benefit programs. Before he was sworn in as Deputy Director of the FBI, popular podcast host Dan Bongino announced the news and called out the foreign fraud.
For reference, Advisor Miller’s explosive accusations allege that fraud was discovered in the Social Security database after concerns were raised by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Advisor Miller’s revelation adds momentum for Congress to pass the DOGE Act, proposed legislation designed to permanently empower the DOGE to root out waste, fraud, and abuse.
Deputy Director Bongino expressed outrage about the foreign fraud gangs and their theft of American Social Security dollars, demanding accountability and immediate action. In a stern statement on the Dan Bongino Show, he expressed, “He (Musk) discovered a foreign fraud ring in our retirement programs. Folks, even if you are for government waste, at least waste it here, right? If you’re going to waste government money and piss it away in a toilet bowl, at least waste it on US citizens. Nope, they thought nobody cares on the left.”
Bongino then played a clip of Miller speaking about the fraud to Fox News Channel. In it, Miller said, “These are foreign nationals who come into the United States. They use fake Social Security numbers. They use fake identities to steal billions in taxpayer benefits. There’s no way to know until DOGE gains full access exactly how much money we’re talking about.
Advisor Miller further emphasized the enormity of the scandal while issuing a stark statement emphasizing the massive amount of money involved. Providing context in a recent Fox News interview, he said, “Still, over a 10-year normal budget window, you could be talking about saving over a trillion dollars by clamping down on massive fraud.”
Advisor Miller also emphasized that DOGE staffers are accountable federal employees who perform their constitutional duties under presidential authority. Continuing the interview, he explained, “DOGE are subordinate staffers of the federal government. They are political appointees just like me, just like everyone else in the White House who serve and answer to the President. So we’re not talking about an outside private entity—we’re talking about existing federal government staff performing their statutory and constitutional duty.” Check out the clip of Deputy Director Bongino reacting to Advisor Miller’s claims:

Bongino sounding the alarm on his podcast brought criticism of the relaxed administration of Social Security and the resultant fraud. One X poster, for example, claimed, “DOGE audits found $65B in waste. Foreign fraud rings exploit fake SSNs to steal billions more from US benefits. Legal Workforce Act + E-Verify Verify would stop it cold. Congress must give DOGE full access to catch these scammers.”
Another X user commented under the original post, showing their feelings about how diabolical this apparent scam is. They added, “This really makes me physically ill. Foreign governments are stealing from us while our government let them and US citizens are being taxed to death and wondering how we’re going to pay our bills. Absolutely disgusting.”
