Conservative commentator Dan Bongino recently shared the tragic news of his mother’s unexpected passing on his show. He further detailed a seemingly supernatural event following the loss of his mother, which prompted him to express his faith in God.
“Folks, I’m going to end the show early today. I’m going to tell you what happened last night because I’m having a bit of a rough time, as you can tell. I’m going to try to get through this unexpectedly. She fell down a flight of stairs. And I found out at about 4:43 in the morning,” Bongino said on his show, becoming visibly emotional sharing the difficult news.
The conservative commentator then introduced the bizarre experience he had, noting, “For those of you who don’t believe in God, I’m not here to judge you…But I want to tell you something. I want to tell you in advance, I’m not crazy, o.k.?”
Bongino proceeded to describe a moment in which he felt as if he was being hugged in a loving, maternal way. “Someone grabbed me. Like hugged me. Like a mom,” which occurred just after his mother was pronounced dead in the early hours of the morning.
He further illustrated just how real the embrace felt, so much so that he was alarmed and began to search the house, thinking of grabbing his firearm. “I’m telling you it was real. I actually jumped up. I know it sounds crazy, but I was looking for my gun. And I started looking around the house,” he said.
“And I thought that Paula come home early and not tell me? Is she playing a game with me because she never wakes me up at night? And I thought that my other daughter come home from college. Did she not tell me?” he questioned, still searching for a rational explanation for the encounter.
The former secret service agent doubled down, asserting that anyone who didn’t believe in God should reconsider their position after his experience. “Folks, if you don’t believe in God, I would have to last night. I was not imagining that was not at some fugue state was not dreaming. I felt someone grabbed me actually grabbed me. I looked around my entire house. You know me you know I’m not antsy,” Bongino added.
He continued regaling on personal memories he shared with his mother, noting the unique nickname she always referred to him as. Bongino mentioned his Christian faith yet again, noting how profound the experience was at a spiritual level. “She called me Danny, the only one, no one else on planet Earth besides my mom. Calls me Danny, and now no one else does at all,” he said. “As I sat this morning, in my own shower, hunched over, kind of crying a little bit, I’ve never believed more in the power of Jesus.”
Bongino ultimately concluded on his show, “I’ll let you guys know about the show tomorrow…but obviously, I have to bury her, and my brothers and I, so we got some stuff to take care of.” Watch the episode from his show below.
