WATCH: Crowd Goes Wild, Breaking Into “Fight Fight Fight” Chant as Trump Arrives at RNC

Recently, former President Trump made an explosive entrance to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, following the failed assassination attempt on his life at his Butler, Pennsylvania, rally on Saturday.  Introduced by legendary country music singer Lee Greenwood, a highly energized crowd eagerly received Trump as he walked into the arena with a bandage over his right ear, which had just been grazed by a bullet.

As the Republican Presidential nominee walked out to Lee Greenwood’s performance of his famous song “God Bless the USA,” Trump was met with a roaring applause.  The crowd broke out in several different chants, including “We want Trump” and “fight fight fight,” mimicking Trump’s defiance after he was shot in the ear.

Greenwood delivered passionate commentary interspersed between the lyrics of his patriotic anthem.  “Hello RNC! Is there any doubt who’s going to be the next President of the United States?” the singer said.  “Prayer works, this nation based on faith, prayer works.  Because he was sure as Donald Trump turned his head just slightly that the bullet missed him just enough to save his life to be the next president of the United States.”

“We have believed for so long that God will make some changes in this country.  And he’s about to make a change in the current administration and send them home.  Thank you everybody for being here tonight.  Tonight we make the decision on what’s right for America.  More prosperity, less gas prices, less food prices. Help for our veterans and God bless our military, wherever they are in this United States and abroad,” Greenwood said.

As Trump entered the arena, the energy was palpable while Greenwood belted, “I’m proud to be an American.”  Trump reaches his seat alongside his family and a star-studded lineup of Republicans, including his newly announced running mate, JD Vance.   The former president could be seen alongside House Speaker Mike Johnson, Rep. Byron Donalds, and Tucker Carlson.

On Monday afternoon, former President Trump took to Truth Social and officially announced his selection of JD Vance as his running mate.  “After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio. J.D. honorably served our Country in the Marine Corps, graduated from Ohio State University in two years, Summa Cum Laude, and is a Yale Law School Graduate, where he was Editor of The Yale Law Journal, and President of the Yale Law Veterans Association. J.D.’s book, “Hillbilly Elegy,” became a Major Best Seller and Movie, as it championed the hardworking men and women of our Country. J.D. has had a very successful business career in Technology and Finance, and now, during the Campaign, will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond,” Trump wrote.

The Republican presidential nominee continued, “As Vice President, J.D. will continue to fight for our Constitution, stand with our Troops, and will do everything he can to help me MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. Congratulations to Senator J.D. Vance, his wife, Usha, who also graduated from Yale Law School, and their three beautiful children. MAGA2024!”
