In a recent segment on Fox News, Dana Perino broke down leaked audio that exposed Minnesota AG Keith Ellison, a top Democrat, promising to cover up fraud investigations for donors. Digging into the details, she slammed the deep-seated corruption in blue states.
For context, she warns that this is just the beginning, with more scandals likely to unfold, thanks to a relentless prosecutor. In the comments under the post, users expressed outrage at the Democrats and also dissatisfaction with the DOJ for failing to bring Ellison to justice.
Posting a summary of the events, a popular post noted, “DANA PERINO: Leaked audio reveals MN AG Keith Ellison told the fraudsters that he would help cover up the investigations and have the investigators back off. Note: Weeks later, his campaign got donations from linked individuals.”
Starting off her analysis, Perino said, “I think he’s got a real problem, because he might have been the first shoe to fall, but there’s more coming, because Keith Ellison, who is the Attorney General of Minnesota, former congressman, who is a member of Democratic leadership, he is on audio, leaked audio, talking to these people, tell him that he will cover up the investigation, so that they will tell the investigators to back off.”
Wrapping up her comments, she said, “So this resignation or decision not to run, not a resignation, but the decision not to run, is not the end of the story. The fraud story doesn’t end there, to me, is really just beginning, and thankfully, there’s a very good prosecutor in the state that is relentless, so hopefully they’ll get it cleaned up.”
Conservatives were enraged by the scandal. One lengthy post read, “Of course they got top cover from the politicians they gave kickbacks to. It’s weird that republicans have no idea how the patronage system works. It’s how they reward their supporters and members and is how they’ve infiltrated every aspect of government.”
Continuing the despirited social media user said, “Republicans have no response to this and it’s why our guys sit on Twitter all day posting memes instead of being placed into government positions where they could do some good.”

“So now you have the Attorney General of Minnesota saying that it will help cover up the fraud in Minnesota. How can you ever trust any politician when you hear this?” a despondent response read. Additionally, another added, “I don’t understand why it takes so d*mn long to arrest somebody when the evidence is so blatantly out there for everyone to see.”
Similarly, one conservative reacted, “Yes. Obviously this isn’t happening in a vacuum. There are many government officials, judges, mayor’s, who were coconspirators and received a cut.” Agreeing, one comment read, “If in fact MM AG Keith Ellison is on recording saying he will cover up this crime. Then prosecution is the only course of action. Arrest and charge.”

Rounding out the comments, one user demanded accountability for this scandal, “This should have landed him in handcuffs when it first came to light, but Bondi’s DOJ has done nothing with it. They refuse to hold these people accountable.”
