At Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest 2025 in Phoenix, the first such event since Charlie Kirk’s assassination, 72-year-old Target employee Jeanie Beeman received a standing ovation from tens of thousands. Introduced by prominent conservatives Benny Johnson and Jack Posobiec, she was honored for calmly handling workplace harassment after wearing a Charlie Kirk “Freedom” shirt.
For context, the viral incident sparked a GiveSendGo fundraiser exceeding $260,000. Backstage, Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow and current TPUSA CEO, hugged Beeman in a touching moment, praising her courage as part of his legacy.
Introducing the brave conservative, Jack Posobiec, gave a heartfelt statement. “When your GiveSendGo went up, and all of this happened, I reached out to Erika Kirk, I let her know about this, and Erika said, ‘Jack, I want her at AmFest,’” he said.
Making her reamarks, Jeanie Beeman, on stage at AmericaFest, explained, what Charlie Kirk meant to her. “It meant that I can stand for freedom. I did, in a way. I stand for my rights, and that’s why I watched him,” she exclaimed.
Building on this point, she added, “Because I love the way he stood up and stood for God. And I love the way he talked to the students. Like everybody else, I just loved him,” as thunderous applause rang out across the crowd.
Reacting to the clip on social media, Erika Kirk shared a touching backstage video.“Such a precious moment with sweet Jeanie Beeman at AmFest 2025. Thank you for being a part of my Charlie’s legacy. I love your courage. God bless you,” Kirk reacted.
As we reported after the initial incident, Michelea Ponce, the woman who harassed the conservative woman, faced calls to resign from her position at a healthcare company, and ended up being fired for what she did. Reacting to the clip, her employer posted, “The Chico Police Department is investigating a social media post on the personal account of an Enloe Health employee. We are deeply concerned about the tenor of this post and the response it is creating from individuals of all political persuasions.”

Adding more context, the statement read, “We ask for patience and calm as we conduct our own internal investigation of this matter. In the meantime, we are relying on the expertise of the Chico Police Department to investigate any potential criminal activity or threats related to it.”
“Currently, extremely high call volumes related to this post are overwhelming Enloe’s switchboard and clinic phone lines, negatively impacting our patients’ ability to reach clinical staff. If you wish to share a comment with Enloe Health related to this employee’s social media post, please email us at [email protected] or call 530-332-9818 and leave a message,” the company clarified. It then fired her shortly thereafter.
Disturbed by the harassment, a good Samaritan launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the victim. “On Monday in Chico, California, an elderly Target employee found herself at the center of national attention after being filmed by someone we can only describe as unhinged,” the post read.

Wrapping up, the description stated, “This individual berated her fellow Californian with unwarranted fury because she was wearing a shirt supporting Charlie Kirk. Now, we ahopeto raise enough money so the can afford a much-needed vacation. A time for her to relax, recharge, and just forget about the ugliness.”
