Speaking during an interview with Benny Johnson on The Benny Show podcast, top-notch conservative lawyer Mike Davis sounded off on New York Attorney General Letitia James, declaring that he will work to throw her in prison if she continues with her attempts to weaponize the law against Trump.
Davis was being considered for the Attorney General position in the Trump Administration, adding some weight to his threats, but later clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that he supports President-elect Trump but is not being considered for the AG role in the incoming Trump Administration.
Addressing James in the podcast, he said, “I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term.” He continued, “Listen here, sweetheart. We’re not messing around this time and we will put your fat ass in prison for conspiracy against rights. I promise you that.”
Continuing with the message to AG James, Davis said that she ought to think long and hard before further going on the attack against his constitutional rights, saying, “So think long and hard before you want to violate President Trump’s constitutional rights or any other Americans’ constitutional rights. It’s not going to happen again.”
Clarifying his status on X after the interview clip took off, Davis wrote, “I strongly support President Trump and will always continue to do so. Having said that, again, I am not going into his administration and am not under consideration for Attorney General. As I have made crystal clear, I do not speak for President Trump or anyone else.”
He added, “Like tens of millions of other private citizens, I am outraged by the lawfare and weaponization of our system of justice, including the New York Attorney General’s political crusade. All of the witch hunts have to end so our Republic can survive and prosper under the leadership of President Trump.”

Letitia James, for her part, has said that her office didn’t expect Trump to win but will keep up the legal fighting regardless. She said, “We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result, and my office has been preparing for several months.” She added, “We are prepared to fight back once again.”
Davis has spoken about James elsewhere this week. For example, appearing for an interview with Newsmax on Wednesday, November 6, he commented on the matter and said, “Number one, you’re about to get reversed on appeal by even Democrat-appointed judges on the New York Appellate Court for your bogus lawsuit against President Trump.”
He continued, explaining what law he thinks she is in violation of, “Number two, you better be careful, because when you politicize and weaponize law enforcement against your political enemies, you are engaged in a very serious federal civil rights felony called ‘conspiracy against rights’ under 18 U.S. Code § 241.” He added, “And I can imagine that the Trump 47 Justice Department is not going to have any patience for this Democrat lawfare over the next four years.”
