WATCH: Conservative Journalist Gets Shoved By Maxine Waters’ Security Detail after He Asks about $1 Million Corruption Scheme Involving Her Daughter

A conservative journalist was shoved by Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-CA) security detail, provoking widespread condemnation from the reporter and conservatives online. Kicking off the controversy, Nick Sotor asked Waters to defend the roughly $1.2 million she allegedly diverted to her daughter’s election campaign.

As we reported, Maxine Waters is no stranger to controversy and has made remarks interpreted as an endorsement of political violence. The California Democrat declared, “What does Trump expect? Oh, I know. He expects violence. I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he’s working to a civil war.”

In any case, Sotor broke the news on March 4, 2025, and posted to X. The courageous reporter noted, “🚨 #BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: I asked Maxine Waters if the reason she’s so against DOGE is because she was caught funneling over $1 MILLION in regulated funds to her daughter.”

Continuing to expose the woke Maxine Waters, he added, “But because her goon squad recognized me, they immediately surrounded her and shoved me into the side of her limo… again. I also attempted to ask her why she’s so against change the VAST majority of Americans voted for. Sounds like her attempts to block transparency is a “threat to our Democracy,” as the Democrats say.”

Reacting to the shockingly out-of-touch politician, many users took to the comments under Sotors’ post to savage Waters. One such comment read, “Haha the guy called you “young man.”Who the heck does he think he is? Great job asking the great questions of great POS in Congress! Nick is on a mission.” Another user added, “If I funneled $1 million dollars from my employer to by kids… I’d be in jail. But when democrats do it, nothing happens?! Until these money laundering criminals start going to prison nothing changes. Nothing will ever change until there are real punishments.”

Responding in a lengthy comment, one conservative took Waters to task for her history of fighting against accountability. The user said, “Maxine Waters is a prime example of bureaucratic obstructionism, fiercely opposing accountability measures that expose government waste. As Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, she attacks DOGE’s audits of agencies like HUD, which revealed massive inefficiencies and led to necessary staff reductions,” adding, “Her push to block DOGE’s access to Treasury payment systems shows her commitment to protecting the status quo and hiding questionable spending.”

Explain the reasoning behind the California Democrats’ actions, the user wrote more. The conservative said, “Waters’ track record of fighting transparency is clear: she demanded emergency hearings to stop DOGE’s HUD reforms, which uncovered $4.4 billion in fraudulently mismanaged housing funds. She joined Sen. Elizabeth Warren in pressuring banking regulators to reject DOGE’s fraud audits, claiming they threaten bureaucratic gatekeepers. She even led protests branding Elon Musk’s efficiency reforms as “Nazi” tactics, despite DOGE recovering $22 billion in wasteful contracts in its first quarter.”

Concluding the long response, the verbose user said, “This obstructionism is part of a broader Democratic effort to stall Trump’s agenda by protecting agencies that prioritize ideological pet projects over taxpayer interests. The physical confrontation described mirrors the desperation of entrenched bureaucrats facing accountability—a pattern we’ve seen from HUD to the Pentagon.”
