In an epic moment on CNN on Sunday, December 29, Republican political figure and CNN guest Scott Jennings pulled no punches when arguing with former Hillary Clinton campaign senior adviser Karen Finney. That moment came when Finney attempted to defend President Biden’s last four years and say that he will be remembered well, with Jennings arguing that, rather, he will leave in utter disgrace.
The Sunday argument occurred on that day’s broadcast of CNN’s “State of the Union,” and came when Finney ridiculously stated that though President Biden has cognitive health issues, something that she claims came as a surprise to her, she thinks he will largely be remembered for his supposed foreign policy “accomplishments.”
Jennings wasn’t having it. Calling out her absurd claim that Biden has succeeded in the Middle East, he asked her, “You think the Middle East is in better shape today than when he took office?” Finney, responding, vaguely pointed to hostages that have been returned, saying, “Well, I think he got our hostages home. I think that’s a big deal. I think it’s important — ”
Torching that claim, Jennings noted that there are still dozens of hostages, some of them American, in the hands of Hamas from the original raid on the portion of Israel close to Gaza on October 7, 2023, one that left well over a thousand casualties in its wake. He told her, “There’s still 100 people over there. Including some Americans.”
Continuing, he slammed the Hunter pardon and two of Biden’s signal failures – inflation and the Afghanistan disaster – as examples of why Biden will be leaving the White House in disgrace rather than remembered fondly as a competent and good president with many notable “accomplishments,” as Finney claimed.
He said, making that point about the many disasters of his presidency, particularly in the late-2021 and 2022 period, “Look, I think he’s going to, I think he’s going to leave office in disgrace. The Hunter Biden pardon was disgraceful. He’s going to be remembered largely for inflation and for the disastrous Afghanistan pullout.”
Still not done, Jennings went on to point to the massive coverup of Biden’s cognitive health issues that the White House and his family members engaged in, saying, “We’re just getting the first draft of this now, but as we continue to learn about the massive cover-up that went on, not about his health, but about his mental acuity to cover that up, the efforts that were undertaken by the White House staff, by his family, not in the last couple of months, but for all four years.”

Adding to that, he told Finney that the memory of Biden’s failures and issues, along with the coverup, is going to be seen as a “very ugly chapter” in our history. He said, “I think it’s going to bae a really ugly chapter. It’s a diminished presidency because of it. I think we still don’t know the full ex tent of what they did to try to hide what they’ve been doing over in the West Wing.”
