CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten delivered some good news for President Donald Trump on March 18, 2026, revealing that new polling numbers show that he is sitting at a 100% approval rating from other MAGA Republicans, shooting holes through leftist narratives saying that there is a split among those in the president’s base.
In a video clip that’s currently going viral, Enten highlights information obtained through an NBC News survey, saying, “Sometimes you look at the polling data and there are numbers that just jump off the screen at you — and this is one of those,” he said, pointing out the impressive 100% approval rating among MAGA Republicans.
He then said, “You don’t have to be a mathematical genius to know you can’t go higher than 100%.” Enten then referred to Trump as the “1972 Miami Dolphins,” marveling at the data and comparing the president to the only NFL team to ever have a totally undefeated season. The good news comes as a number of false narratives have popped up claiming that “Make America Great Again” Republicans, the most dedicated supporters of Trump, are now splitting over the war in Iran, the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files and immigration enforcement.
According to a report from the New York Post, Enten later pointed out there are still some members of the GOP who disapprove of the president, but they are not considered to be part of the MAGA movement. “The bottom line is this: if you are a member of MAGA, you approve of Donald Trump,” the analyst said. Enten also noted that Trump’s base of support inside the Republican Party is “not shrinking” but is actually “slightly larger” than it was in 2024.
The data that showed President Trump’s perfect score with MAGA Republicans also discovered that 30% of Americans currently identify as MAGA, which is up from 28% in November 2025. “The theme of this segment is ‘Tucker Carlson Be Darned,’ Enten said, making a reference to the conservative independent journalist who has come out as vehemently against the president and his strikes in Iran, so much so that he has accused Trump, the founder of the movement, of not being MAGA.
“The bottom line is that the MAGA base within the GOP is not shrinking … If anything, it is slightly larger than it was back in 2024,” the CNN analyst went on to explain. Enten then stated that the poll demonstrates how “strong Donald Trump’s grip on that MAGA base” truly is. Folks on social media had a lot to say about the data.
One individual said, “77 million were not wrong to re-elect President Trump.” Another commenter posted an A.I. generated image featuring Trump as a chef in a kitchen with “Let Trump Cook!” on it and a caption that read, “So much for the ‘MAGA fracture’ narrative!” A third post said, “The largest movement the world has ever known which started in 2014 before it even had a name.”

It continued, “Thanks to the Tea Party, which was the Pregame kickoff! President Trump was the name we shouted day in and day out on the phones, on the ground, and we chose the businessman who could not be bought! End of story!” Another simply posted a picture of Trump sporting a slick looking tuxedo that summed up MAGA’s thoughts perfectly: Greatest President Ever.
