WATCH: CNN Commentator Horribly Attacks Melania Trump, Calls Her “Irrelevant” in Bitter Segment

Following former First Lady Melania Trump’s release, on Tuesday the 10 of September, a video in which she demanded answers on the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, her beloved husband, CNN commentator Maria Cardona accused former first lady Melania Trump of being “irrelevant.”

As background, in the 34-second clip that Melania released, she began by saying, “The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrible, distressing experience.” Then, calling for answers and a proper investigation, calling out the “silence around” the case and questioning law enforcement decisions, she said, “Now the silence around it feels heavy. I can’t help but wonder why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech. There is definitely more to this story, and we need to uncover the truth.”

It was after Melania released that clip that CNN’s Cardona appeared on “CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta” and lost it on Melania, saying that Melania’s comments were irrelevant and that she was somewhat pushing conspiracy theories with the video in which she called for answers about what had happened.

Beginning her anti-Melania rant, Cardona said that Melania’s opinions regarding the assassination attempt are “irrelevant,” saying, “Obviously, as a wife of somebody who did go through an attempted assassination, she’s absolutely entitled to say whatever she wants about that. I think she’s irrelevant, frankly, and I don’t think this will matter.”

Continuing, Cardona said. “I do think that it does kinda feed into conspiracy theories that we’ve heard out there, but at the end of the day, what people are going to pay attention on tonight is what Kamala Harris says about what she wants to do with another four years, and if she does her job right, and I believe she will.”

In contrast to Cardona, CNN political commentator David Urban pushed back, earlier in the segment, against accusations that Melania’s question about the day’s events are a conspiracy theory, saying there are a great deal of legitimate concerns about the Secret Service’s failures on that fateful day in Butler, PA.

Making that point and somewhat defending Melania’s questions, Urban said, “I think she’s asking ‘how the hell could this have happened?’ There were local law enforcement who did their job.” Continuing, he added, “There are failures up and down the chain of command and the Secret Service, there are a lot of answers that people want.”

Building on that, Urban noted that Trump almost died because of his political objectives, telling the CNN host, “I think it’s reminding the American people that Donald Trump almost gave his life to be President of the United States, and somebody wanted to kill him because of what he believed in and what he stood for,”

Further, he continued by noting that there seems to be a great deal of mutual love in the Trump family, saying, “I think it’s worth noting that the guy puts his life on the line everyday in doing this and I think that’s what she was reminding. She obviously loves her husband, Barron loves his father, and I think that she’s trying to humanize him.”
