President Joe Biden has recently made headlines for several dubious claims that have had their authenticity questioned. Biden has been accused of telling another false story when he appeared on radio legend Howard Stern’s “The Howard Stern Show” Friday morning.
Speaking to the liberal “shock-jock,” Biden described an alleged conversation he had with his mother about a time when he was supposedly arrested for standing on a porch with a black family as a neighborhood was being desegregated.
“She said ‘Joey, remember,’ true story, ‘remember when they were desegregating the neighborhood, you know, 70 homes built, and there was a black family moving in and people were down there protesting,” Biden said. “‘I told you not to go down there and you went down. Remember that?”
Biden continued the story, “‘And you came and got arrested for standing on the porch with a black family and they brought you back, the police?’” However, the media has quickly jumped on Biden’s claim, asserting that there is no evidence such an event ever occurred.
In fact, Biden had told this story in 2022, when the Washington Post subsequently performed a fact-check on the president’s account, concluding there is no evidence supporting his claims. Biden has consistently claimed he was an active participant in the civil rights, likely trying to align himself with the modern left’s fascination with racial politics.
Ultimately, Biden has garnered a reputation for taking a false or questionable claim and repeating it during speeches and public appearances. The president has done this even after being fact-checked, as demonstrated by the story about being arrested. Listen to the discussion with Howard Stern below:
During his conversation with Howard Stern, Biden also addressed potentially debating former President Donald Trump ahead of the election. Stern introduced the topic, stating, “Let me tell you a fantasy I had. I don’t know if you’re going to debate your opponent.” Biden interjected, “I am somewhere I don’t know when I’m happy to debate him.”
Stern offered his advice to Biden on how he would handle a hypothetical debate with Trump. The host said, “And this is how I would handle it. Tell me if I’m not gonna lie, I’m nuts. But tell me if this is accurate. I would stand there on stage with Trump and I would repeat over and over again. Excuse me, please find me 11,000 votes so that I can win the election. I would just repeat that over and over again. And then I’d say to the audience, what are we debating? A man picked up the phone and wanted to say fake the election. Give me 11,000 votes. I don’t know. How any American who loves this country. I, I, that’s the end of the debate. You don’t get to run if you’re fix an election.”
Biden added, “On January 6, when they’re storming the Capitol, he would say nothing. He was sitting in that office off the dining area of the Oval Office for three hours and said nothing I was supposed to make a speech on the economy that day. Instead, I made a speech from Del-, I was in Delaware, on that issue, because I was elected president but I wasn’t sworn in yet. It was derelict, it was almost criminal. He did nothing. He just sat there and watched what was happening. Not a single and now he wants to call a call from patriots and victims. I mean, it says he’s gonna pardon them all if he’s reelected.” Watch the conversation below:
