Video footage a Portland, Maine woman recorded of her interaction with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers is going viral on social media platform X, as it perfectly encapsulates how anti-ICE protesters are anything but “peaceful” in their stand against immigration officials. In the clip, the woman repeatedly harasses officers trying to do their jobs and repeatedly refuses to obey commands.
The woman approaches a group of ICE officers who are clearly in the middle of making an arrest, involving herself in a situation that has absolutely nothing to do with her. She immediately asks the man who is being detained for his name. He shouts something at her, but it’s hard to make out in the video. The woman asks the man for his address.
One of the officers looks over his shoulder and sees the woman who is attempting to interfere with the arrest and asks, “Seriously?” She then claims to be a “peaceful observer.” The officer tells the agitator to “back the hell up.” She takes a few steps back and reiterates that she’s simply a peaceful observer. The officer then informs the woman that she is “observing too close” and tells her a second time to back up.
Rather than complying with the command to back up, as soon as the officer turns his back on her, she moves up again. The woman claims the officer touched her, once again claiming she’s just a peaceful observer. She tells the officer, “I’m not interfering. I asked what his name was.” The officer, clearly getting fed up with the woman and her shenanigans, looks dead into the camera for a few seconds.
He then asks her, “Got what you needed?” With typical left-wing disrespect and snark, the woman replies, “Yeah, just about.” She then says, “Except for your name.” The “peaceful observer” then walks behind the ICE vehicle and records its license plate. As the video comes to a close, you can hear other liberal anti-ICE agitators blowing whistles and generally making a nuisance of themselves as they continue to try and interrupt the arrest.
The video is garnering strong responses on social media. The user who shared the video stated in the caption, “Portland, Maine Karen harasses ICE agents, refuses repeated commands to move back, and puts her camera right in an agent’s face. These people aren’t being ‘peaceful’ whatsoever. Their job is to harass, dox, and impede federal agents.”
She then added a tip that ICE should take into consideration when dealing with intrusive individuals like this woman. “Tip: One warning, then mace in the face,” she said.

Another person commented that they wouldn’t tolerate having a phone shoved in their face, writing, “That phone would be in a thousand pieces.” Another user, Lucy, said, “Obstructing federal law enforcement is not free speech.” Someone else in the comment section pointed out that the woman in the video didn’t have a New England accent, stating his belief that she was likely a paid Democrat protester, a practice billionaire socialist George Soros has been accused of indulging in.
