New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was publicly confronted and accused of defamation by Chaya Raichik, the brave conservative who manages the Libs of TikTok Twitter account. Raichik’s account aims to expose leftist extremism and insanity by simply posting videos of leftists on TikTok discussing their ideology or what they’re up to. Most of the videos Raichik finds and posts have to do with the promotion of LGBTQ ideology and adult leftists promoting gender changes.
AOC attacked Raichik and the Libs of TikTok account in a Congressional hearing, saying that the account was engaged in “lying and disseminating disinformation.” For example, at one point during the hearing, she said: “Are you aware that, from Aug. 11 to Aug. 16, [the Libs of TikTok] account posted false information about Boston Children’s Hospital claiming that they were providing hysterectomies to children?”
Well, it turns out that the hospital was offering “gender affirmation surgery services to eligible adolescents and young adults who are ready to take this step in their journey.” So, the Heritage Foundation filed an ethics complaint over the matter, accusing AOC of defamation.
Raichik then confronted AOC in public and on camera, pretending to pose for a photo and claiming that AOC lied about her in that hearing. Specifically, while posing for the video, she said, “I just delivered an ethics complaint to your office because you lied about me in a committee hearing,”
AOC proceeded to lose it, saying, “You’re actually super transphobic and I never wanna share a space with you.”

The Heritage Foundation, in its tweet announcing the complaint, said, “We don’t appreciate members of Congress lying, especially about American citizens. That’s why Heritage’s @OversightPR filed a complaint to the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate @AOC for lying about @libsoftiktok creator @ChayaRaichik10.”
Adding to those posts, the Libs of TikTok account also said, “Last week I attempted to talk with AOC about using her position of power to lie about an American citizen. She refused to meet so I was forced to go to the next step and file an ethics complaint. Stop cowering @AOC!”
The New York Post, adding more context as to Raichik’s account and the Boston Children’s Hospital saga, reported that:
The nine-page complaint submitted by the Heritage Foundation alleges that Ocasio-Cortez broke ethics rules by “knowingly and intentionally defaming Chaya Raichik, creator of the viral Libs of TikTok account, falsely accusing her of lying and disseminating disinformation…”
The Post has sought comment from Ocasio-Cortez, who has yet to publicly respond to the complaint.
Last year, Facebook banned “Libs of TikTok” after staffers at Boston Children’s Hospital said they received threats following a post that alleged minors were being given hysterectomies as part of gender-affirming surgeries.
Raichik, a Brooklyn-based real estate agent, gained more than a million Twitter followers after retweeting TikTok videos showing controversial drag shows that included children in the audience.
