WATCH: Another Far-Left Democrat Loses It Over ICE Raids

In the latest entertaining episode of Democratic politicians being unable to handle the idea of federal immigration law being justly and severely enforced by the proper federal immigration authorities, Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) went completely ballistic live on air over the idea that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are locking up illegals.

For reference, Sen. Kelly’s angry comments on the matter came in the wake of ICE blitzing across the country, particularly in sanctuary cities like Los Angeles, to detain a great many illegal aliens so that they can be deported. Many Democrats have gotten quite angry about ICE cracking down on illegal immigration, even to the point of claiming clever raids are “unconstitutional.”

So, Sen. Kelly was following on the path of his similarly far-left and illegal alien-friendly colleagues when he angrily declared, absurdly, both that the American people don’t want to see large-scale detainment and deportation efforts and that arresting illegal aliens is somehow a step too far compared to simply blocking new ones from coming in.

Kicking off his angry tirade when he appeared on Sunday, August 10, on CBS’s “Face the Nation” with host Margaret Brennan, Sen. Kelly absurdly declared that, while the American people disliked the open border under Biden, they dislike this too. He began, “I don’t think this is what the American people wanted.”

Continuing, the angry senator then declared that the deportation effort is a step too far, saying, “Margaret, the border security issue under President Biden was not working, and I pushed the administration on that. But we have now swung drastically in another direction. And I don’t think this is what the American people want either.”

Margaret Brennan pushed back somewhat, noting that immigration is the issue that the American people care about and why they voted for Trump. He said, “Well, to your point, though. President Trump won your state by almost six points in November. And, you know, immigration was one of his top promises to go ahead with this crackdown.”

Responding, Sen. Kelly tried to distinguish between defending the border and blocking the trafficking of drugs and people from detaining and deporting illegal aliens already here. Sen. Kelly said, “I think, right now, there’s I think you have to draw a distinction with what is going on at the border and enforcing border security. And making sure fentanyl isn’t coming through our Southern border. But also the smuggling of migrants that wasn’t working.”

Continuing, he went on the attack against the border agents for detaining young illegal aliens, saying, “But rounding up people in their communities and mass deportation and ICE agents showing up massed at schools. I’ve been trying to help out a kid that’s in detention. He was 14 years old. He lives in Chandler, Arizona, and he was picked up going to school. I had another situation here with a kid who was on his little league trip in a baseball tournament.”

Concluding, Sen. Kelly accused the Border Patrol of racial profiling and insisted that the American people don’t want it. He said, “Border Patrol pulls over the vehicle, identifies the brown kid. He ends up in lockup for a week. Now we were able to get him out. He was 13 years old on a baseball trip. This isn’t what the American people wanted, and I don’t think it’s consistent with our values.”
