Things got very tense and very entertaining on ABC’s The View on Wednesday, April 29, as former counselor to President Donald Trump Alina Habba went scorched earth on the hosts of The View, defending the president’s policies and smacking down their ridiculous leftist talking points. She was doing so so well that at one point they cut her off and cut to commercials as she delivered a verbal broadside.
Habba’s comments came as she appeared to discuss the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting, and what being in the crowd during that attack was like, but she ended up feuding with co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar over how President Trump has handled the Department of Justice.
At one point during the feud-filled show, for example, Habba defended the prosecution of James Comey, saying, “He is a former FBI Director. He knows what ‘8647’ meant. There’s no question about it.” She added, “After James Comey’s post, a gentleman posted that about me. He posted on Twitter ‘86 Habba.’ And he was also charged … you cannot do it.”
That then led to an angry spat with both Hostin and Behar. Hostin, snapping at her, asked, “What do you think ‘86’ means?” Habba fired back, “I think 86 means to kill the president, to get rid of the president.” Behar then tried to make light of the horrible comments about the president and joked, “They use it in restaurants. Do they mean to kill the meat? What are they killing?”
Habba insisted, “That’s what it means. His words, not mine.” Hostin then claimed, “The dictionary disagrees with you on that.” That then led to more back and forth arguing from the three women, and Habba eventually said, “But you have to remember something. The Department of Justice brings real cases. We are not Jack Smith. We are not Letitia James. We bring real cases against people.”
That led to Hostin angrily retorting, “I do believe that this is a vindictive prosecution against Comey directed by the president, and so far with little success because he’s done this many times.” She added, “As Trump’s personal attorney, you actually were sanctioned nearly a million dollars for filing a frivolous civil lawsuit against Comey, against Hillary Clinton, and others, that a federal judge called ‘political grievances masquerading as legal claims.’”
The two kept bickering and eventually Habba was asked if she is attempting to replace Pam Bondi as the AG. She replied, “Let me say this, I have never had a conversation with the president or anybody in the administration to become the attorney general. I had the pleasure of serving as the U.S. attorney, and during that time, Camden had their first murder-free summer in 50 years, and I serve the people of New Jersey as well. I serve at the pleasure of the president.” She then added, “I serve at the pleasure of the president. I think it is the greatest honor to serve your country in any capacity.”

It was right after that that the program cut her off, cutting to commercials after Hostin rudely asked “Do you think you’re qualified to be the attorney general?” Before Habba could respond, Whoopi Goldberg jumped in and announced they were going to commercials.
