In the wake of far-left Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) seemingly threatening Tesla, the company owned by Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk, and Musk himself, over his attempts to slash waste, fraud, and abuse from the federal budget while working with the Trump Administration, Trump Administration Attorney General Pam Bondi warned Crockett to “tread very carefully.”
As background, Rep. Crockett came under fire for comments she made about Elon Musk when speaking on a nationwide call with a radical leftist movement calling itself “Tesla Takedown,” which claims to be a “peaceful protest platform” that is simply encouraging Tesla owners to sell their cars and shares in the company to harm its financial prospects. Rep. Crockett, however, said she wanted Elon to be “taken down,” which was interpreted as a threat.
Making that comment on the Tesla Takedown call about a “Global Day of Action” that many fear will spiral into 2020-style street violence motivated by leftist politics and protests getting out of control, Crockett said, “On March 29, it’s my birthday. All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.”
Continuing, the woke representative claimed that doing so would be the only want to send a message to the DOGE supporters and enablers in government, saying, “I have learned, as I serve on the DOGE Oversight committee, that there is only one language that the people that are in charge understand right now, and that language is money.”
Then, covering her tracks, the woke member of Congress said she wanted it known that her calls to action are “nonviolent” and she was just figuratively “fighting” for democracy. Adding to that, Rep. Crockett said, “We know that we are peaceful, loving people, and this is not about violence.”
AG Bondi wasn’t having it. Speaking to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo on her show “Sunday Morning Futures” in a Sunday, March 23 interview, Bondi said, “Maria, now you have this congresswoman Crockett — who is calling for attacks on Elon Musk on her birthday?! Let’s take him out on my birthday, she said?!”
Continuing, Bondi explained that Rep. Crockett’s attempts to cover her tracks by, after calling for action and taking out Elon, saying those comments were to be taken as non-violent, wasn’t enough to mean the DOJ wasn’t watching her. Bondi said, “And yet she turns and says ‘Oh, I’m not calling for violence.’ Well, she is an elected public official, and so she needs to tread very carefully!”

Concluding, AG Bondi said that the DOJ would be taking the threats of domestic terrorism against Tesla and Tesla owners very seriously, and that those actions committed as part of that domestic terror campaign meant to get Elon to back down would be cracked down upon. She said, “Because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we’re going to fight to protect all of the Tesla owners throughout this country. And, it’s basic safety. Once again, domestic terrorism is going to come to a stop in our country.”
