Actor Jim Caviezel, the star of 2002’s The Count of Monte Cristo, a film adaptation of the book, claimed in a recent video release to advertise his new film, The Sound of Freedom, that Disney both mocked his Christian faith and tried to remove references to Christianity when the film was being produced.
Speaking about the situation, he first referenced Disney’s desire to remove the God references from script, saying, “When I did The Count of Monte Cristo, they wanted me to remove the ‘God’ from all of the script. True story. All of a sudden, I’m reading the script — what happened to ‘God’?”
Continuing, Caviezel said that he stood up for his faith when pressed by Disney, saying that he told the company, “I had to say no, I can’t do this. Right is right, wrong is wrong.” Disney didn’t like that. According to Caviezel, the Disney personnel involved in the film’s production said, when he told them to keep the God references in the script, “So, you’re one of those?”
But he held his ground and so Disney backed off. “I held my ground. And by God, they backed off. And, you know, we’ve got to be strong Christians like that. To hold the ground when you have to, to say, you know, we’re not buying that product anymore,” he said.
Here’s that interview:
Jim Caviezel says that Mel Gibson wept when he saw the Sound of Freedom, that Hollywood is becoming irrelevant, and Disney/the propaganda media tried to stop the Passion and prevent him from talking about God.

As you can hear in the above video, Caviezel noted that though the new movie, The Sound of Freedom, has been well received so far, Hollywood refuses to touch it because it’s about faith. He, when making that comment, compared it to The Passion, saying: “But like The Passion, they won’t touch this one; your name may not appear down here in this World’s Hall of Fame. In fact, you may be so unknown that no one knows your name. The Oscars in the praise of men may never come your way.”
Continuing, he noted that though there might not be earthly rewards, there will be rewards in Heaven for standing up for the faith while on Earth, saying, “But don’t forget, God has rewards the hill handout someday this crowd on Earth, they will soon forget when you’re not at the top, they’ll cheer like man until you fall, and then the praise will stop not God. He never does forget, and in his Hall of Fame, by just believing in his son forever, there’s your name.”
He added that he’d rather be known and loved by God than by men on Earth, saying, “I tell you friend, I wouldn’t trade my name, however small that’s written there beyond the stars in that celestial Hall, for all the famous names on Earth at the glory that they share. I’d rather be in the unknown here and have my name up there. You know, when we I remember who I was going to tell you earlier, when they…we were so attacked on The Passion, finally, when it came out. And this is two years now after it was we started. And all of a sudden, all the theaters were just people were driving to the theaters. And it was like, you know, CNN didn’t make the people stop. Ms. NBC didn’t. And all of the bad propaganda media, people listen from their hearts. And that started on Ash Wednesday, 2004. They saw a number. This is an R rated film, R rated film referring to the passion of the passionate price. And we had more on that day. The next day was insane. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.”
He also called on people to start standing up to wokeness to defeat the left and preserve something worth saving for their children, saying, “And this is the take a cultural change. If we were to get rid of trafficking and abortion and just killing children. I mean, this face is killing children. By they’re talking about killing a baby 27 days after it’s born. Why? even think about that? You think that saves the mother’s life? For some reason? How does that save the mother’s life? It’s absolutely appalling. And we’re done with all your pedo laws. We’re done with your woke. Okay. So there’s got to be something from this fire that comes out. And, and, and comes into into this new way of what we’re going to do and I believe angels the first beginning of this whole thing, and that what are your children going to watch? What are we going to leave for them?”
