Arnold Schwarzenegger is once again speaking out against the Democrats. The “Terminator” and one-time Republican California Governor has seemed more closely aligned with the Democrat Party in recent years but has been making strong statements as of late against the left and their destructive policies.
During a discussion with Rob Lowe on his SiriusXM show”Literally! With Rob Lowe”, Schwarzenegger was asked what it meant to be a Republican and what it meant to be a Democrat. While his answer is obviously correct, is surely ignited salty tears from the left and criticism from his Hollywood friends.
As Lowe was discussing California Republican David Drier’s characterization of Republicans, “in no particular order, strong military, low taxes, less government, more personal freedoms,” the 76-year-old former Governor chimed in with his own thoughts. He added: “Strong law enforcement.”
Lowe then flipped the script and asked Schwarzenegger what he thought it meant to be a Democrat. His answer was painfully true and sure to ruffle liberal feathers. He said: “Ruin your cities. That’s what the Democrats would say. We are about ruining the cities. We want to f— up every city in America. That seems to be the theme right now.”
When Lowe pressed further and asked Arnold why the Democrats would want that, he simply said: “I have no idea.” It is indeed a mystery as to why one side of the political aisle would seem to favor chaos and disorder, but that appears to be the direction the left is taking the country.
Schwarzenegger’s stance on January 6, COVID-19, masking, vaccines, climate change, and other leftist talking points would lead one to believe that the actor is no longer a Republican. However, his appearance on “The View” recently seemed to indicate that the Hollywood legend is seeing certain issues from a conservative lens.
On the topic of immigration and border security, Schwarzenegger had some interesting comments for the ladies of The View. He said: “You have to really have comprehensive immigration reform, and you have to look at this immigration problem in a comprehensive way. You can, first of all, I believe very strongly in having a border that no one can get through. That’s number one for me.”
Being the governor of California, a border state, for eight years and being an immigrant himself, Schwarzenegger knows a bit about immigration. He had more interesting ideas: “Number two, what is important is that we have visas available for people that want to work in the United States, so they don’t have to work illegally. It is bogus, we need the workers here.”
Schwarzenegger went on to cite concerns over terrorism and drug cartels for his stance on border security. Since Joe Biden effectively reversed all of President Trump’s border work, illegal entries have skyrocketed, and drugs flow freely through the Southern border. That isn’t even taking into account the countless folks that have gotten into the country undetected.
It’s a stark contrast between now and just four years ago, and many on the left are starting to come to the realization that the current administration has no idea what they are doing in terms of border security. Credit Arnold Schwarzenegger for speaking out and being vocal.
