In an epic warning, Border Czar Tom Homan promised retribution to Democrat leaders who defy President Donald Trump’s immigration policy. Specifically singling out so-called sanctuary cities, Homan stated, “Wait till you see what’s coming,” in his ominous warning.
For context, sanctuary cities are far-left towns that have laws in place to restrict the enforcement of immigration laws. Several deep-blue areas, like New York or San Francisco, have passed ordinances that limit local law enforcement from cooperating with ICE.
Such was shown when Tom Homan sparred with a journalist outside the White House on May 1, 2025. The journalist asked, “The president signed an executive order just this week threatening to defund sanctuary cities for their policies.” Confidently answering with a smile, the border Czar said, “Wait ‘til you see what’s coming.”
Clarifying his vow to punish sanctuary cities, Homan said that rogue judges or Democratic leaders could be arrested for abusing their power. He stated, “But I said in day one. You can sit aside and watch again. You can argue against us… protest all you want, but when you cross that line — I’ve said this one thousand times — when you cross that line to impediment or knowingly harboring or concealing an illegal alien migrant, you will be prosecuted — judge or not.”
Reiterating this promise, Homan took X to make a longer statement on the issue. In a lengthy tweet, he declared, “I made a promise at CPAC that I was going to Boston after reading about numerous illegal alien child r*pists walking the streets of Boston and Massachusetts. ICE had to find and arrest these illegal alien rapists because Massachusetts and Boston are sanctuaries that refuse to cooperate with ICE.”
Hammering away at the woke cities, the cabinet member slammed their leadership for defying ICE. Homan added, “They would rather release these animals back into the community rather than honor ICE detainers or notify ICE when they are scheduled to be released. Mayor Wu later testified that I was lying. Well, I traveled to Boston last Tuesday, as promised, and we kicked off a five-day operation with ICE, FBI, ATF, DEA, US Marshals, and DSS.”
Describing the success of the daring raid, he reported, “These incredible men and women arrested a total of 370 Illegal aliens in Boston and surrounding areas. A majority of the 370 being significant criminals. These arrests included 6 foreign fugitives, including four who were wanted for murder or to serve a criminal sentence for murder, along with drug traffickers, child s*xual predators and numerous other violent public safety threats.”

Thanking the men involved in these raids for their service, he criticized the woke mayor of Boston for dereliction of duty. Homan announced, “These officers and agents made the neighborhoods of Boston and Massachusetts much safer. They risked their own safety by arresting these criminals on the street, rather than a jail. Governor Healy and Mayor Wu should be ashamed of supporting sanctuary policies.”

Concluding his remarks with a promise, Homan connected his remarks to Trump’s campaign promises. He vowed, “Releasing public safety threats back into the public, rather than working with ICE at the jails, puts the public at great risk. President Trump’s ‘all of government effort’ to arrest and remove the WORST FIRST is making our communities safer every day. President Trump is a game-changer who is keeping his promises to the American people. Much more to do, but it will be done!”
