Two High-Profile Democrats Get Called Out for Close Epstein Ties as Scrutiny Grows

The House Judiciary Committee has been releasing Epstein files alongside Congress generally voting to release the files in a bill Trump signed, and the result of that has been that Republicans have caught and called out multiple high-profile Democrats for their ties to Epstein.

Particularly hammered by the revelations has been Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands), who was found to not only have taken campaign money from Epstein, but had such a close relationship that she was texting him and letting his commentary influence her line of questions in a House hearing.

Responding to attacks on Del. Plaskett regarding her Epstein relationship in a bizarre series of statements, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries fiercely defended Del. Plaskett  against Republican censure over her Epstein ties, praising her as a “woman of great intelligence and integrity” who deserves “due process” rather than attacks from “petty foggers.”

Doing so and coming to the defence of the controversial Virgin Island Democrats, Hakeem Jeffries claimed, “We believe in transparency, we believe in accountability, we believe in due process. That’s the opposite of what is happening on the floor today, and let me be very clear about Stacy Plaskett.”

Still not done, Jeffries insisted that the real issue here is that Del. Plaskett hasn’t been listened to by the Republicans, saying, “She’s a woman of great intelligence and a woman of great integrity, and she deserves better than what she’s receiving from House Republican extremists. She deserves the opportunity to be heard.”

Concluding his comments, the entitled Democrat leader said, “She deserves due process. She deserves the ability to make her case not to be prosecuted by petty foggers playing lawyer on the floor of the House of Representatives. Google that if you don’t know what it means you.”

Reacting, an official GOP account blasted Jeffries for his lack of shame. “Hakeem Jeffries solicited money from Epstein AFTER he pleaded guilty for procuring a child for prostitution. Stacey Plaskett was fed questions by Epstein AFTER he pleaded guilty for procuring a child for prostitution. Democrats are frauds,” a popular post read.

Offering more context, House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) noted, “Democrat fundraisers invited Epstein to attend an event, or meet privately with Hakeem Jeffries as part of their 2013 effort to win a majority. So, Hakeem Jeffries’ campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein. That’s what we found in the last document batch.”

Additionally, released emails offer a chilling insight into the relationship between Epstein and the DNC.“Dear Jeffrey… We are thrilled to announce that we are working with Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, one of the rising stars… Sometimes referred to as ‘Brooklyn’s Barack’…” a 2013 fundraising email from Lisa Rossi to Jeffrey Epstein read. “Shoot us an email or give us a call… if you would like to get involved with the dinner, or would like to get an opportunity to get to know Hakeem better.”

Likewise, Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-MT) explained Plaskett’s relationship to Epstein. “Okay, one of the legal counsels or legal fixtures for Mr. Epstein was Stacy Plaskett, the Democrat Delegate to Congress from the Virgin Islands,” she noted.

Pivoting back to the DNC, Hageman pointed out the clear double standard, saying, “So perhaps for those on the other side who are interested in talking to Jeffrey Epstein’s attorneys, they can sure visit with one of their own colleagues.”
