Elon Musk is now in control of Twitter and, beyond just readying a massive pile of pink slips to start handing out to woke and/or useless Twitter staffers, he’s using his newfound position as owner to start digging into what Twitter has been up to.
Notably, that doesn’t just concern claims that Twitter’s algorithm suppressed conservative thought or that it was working arm in arm with the intelligence agencies to censor and silence certain opinions, but also regards the bot issue that delayed his purchase of the social media giant by several months.
Commenting briefly on that issue in a tweet, Elon posted highlighted comments from Yoel Roth, the head of “Safety & Integrity at Twitter“, that appear to show his claims about bot numbers being higher than the 5% number Twitter has reported are true. Here that is:
Wachtell & Twitter board deliberately hid this evidence from the court. Stay tuned, more to come … pic.twitter.com/CifaNvtRtt

As you can see in the tweet, in which Elon said “Wachtell & Twitter board deliberately hid this evidence from the court. Stay tuned, more to come …“, Roth said:
“But also lol if Amir continues to BS me my escalation route is “Amir’s OKRs are entirely based on fraudulent metrics and he doesn’t care and may actively be trying to hide the ball.”
“Literally doing what Elon is accusing us of doing.”
Elon did not include from where he got the messages, though presumably they’re internal Twitter messages. The dates included above the messages show them to be from mid-May, during which time Elon was fighting with Twitter over the bot issue.
Turning Point USA’s Benny Johnson, commenting on the tweet, said “Would be interesting to see the internal Twitter discussions on making the decision to Censor the Hunter Biden Laptop Story released to the public.”
Liz Wheeler, a conservative commentator, commented on Yoel Roth’s involvement in the issue, saying:
This isn’t surprising. Yoel Roth is a nasty individual. Should’ve been the first person fired. Yoel Roth once called Trump “actual Nazis” and a “racist tangerine” and used his opinion to justify censoring Trump tweets.
Another Tweeter commented on Roth’s bias and the potentially politically motivated decisions he has made in his role, saying “This may have been forgotten but Yoel Roth, Twitter’s Head of Site Integrity, was the same guy in charge of fact checking Trump and was the source of lot of politically motivated bans…” and including a number of screensho

Cernovich echoed what many other, smaller accounts said and commented that Elon’s newfound access to whatever emails there are regarding the censorship regime at Twitter are the big treasure of the purchase, saying:
You’re sitting on the most valuable treasure in modern history – the censorship emails. It unlocks everything.
Buck Sexton agreed with Cernovich on that point, saying:
This cannot be overstated: They never in a million years thought anyone other than a woke fellow traveler would be at the helm, certainly never imagined it would be a private company again Please make internal traffic that pertains to censorship public. Users deserve the truth
Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton made a similar point, saying “Wait till you see @Twitter’s censorship records.“
