Tucker Carlson recently shared a shocking message on X, stating that an “unusually good source” of his revealed insight into a surprising dynamic between former President Barrack Obama and Joe Biden. While one would assume President Biden would have a strong relationship with Obama as his former vice president, this allegedly is not the case.
Tucker began the message, “From an unusually good source: Obama’s tweet supporting Joe Biden was disingenuous. In private, Obama is telling people Biden can’t win, and he is therefore in favor of an open convention. Obama will not say whom he supports, nor as of yesterday afternoon had he met personally with Biden to deliver the message. ”
For context, Obama took to X following Biden’s disastrous debate performance last week, offering support to the incumbent. Obama appeared to reference a lackluster debate of his own during the 2012 campaign against Mitt Romney.
“Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November,” Obama wrote.
Carlson further claimed that the dynamic between the Obama and Biden families has often been tense, supposedly due to Jill Biden. According to the former Fox News host, the First Lady is the “driving force” behind Biden’s reelection aspirations, defying advice from family members over the past few years that Biden is not fit to serve.
“Relations between the Obamas and the Bidens have never been warm. At times they’ve been hostile. But recently they’ve deteriorated further, mostly due to Jill Biden. In the hours and days after the debate, she kept her husband cloistered away from anyone who might convince him to drop out. Jill Biden is the driving force behind her husband’s reelection campaign, just as she was in 2020, when other members of the family (including Biden’s sister Val) considered him too impaired to run. The next generation of potential Democratic candidates understands all this as an opportunity and they’re circling, particularly Gretchen Whitmer, who is promoting herself aggressively,” he concluded.
Since the presidential debate last Thursday evening, it appears that many Democrats within the mainstream media have retreated from attempting to defend President Biden from criticism toward his mental and physical health. Subsequently, there has been much debate over whether Biden should step aside and be replaced by another Democratic candidate. There has also been mockery of Biden from the right since the debate, such as with this compilation clip of Biden’s slip-ups posted by Trump:
The American Tribune previously reported on commentary from CNN host John King, who suggested that Democrats have spiraled into an “aggressive panic” in the aftermath of the debate disaster as they navigate the upcoming election.
King said, “Anderson, this was a game-changing debate in the sense that right now as we speak, there is a deep, a wide, and a very aggressive panic in the Democratic Party. It started minutes into the debate and it continues right now. It involves party strategists; it involves elected officials; it involves fundraisers. And they’re having conversations about the president’s performance, which they think was dismal, which they think will hurt other people down the party in the ticket and they’re having conversations about what they should do about it.”
