Trump Warns RINOs, Democrats Trying to Foist “whopping 68% Tax increase” on America

In a very important post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump reminded readers that if the Senate listens to the leftists and RINOs and doesn’t enshrine the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as the permanent state of things, that will meant not just a minor tax hike, but a “whopping 68% tax increase” for America.

As background, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, or TCJA, was originally enacted as a temporary measure because of the difference it made in the federal debt and deficit. So, it was limited to lasting for just 10 years, and is not on the verge of expiring unless Congress manages to pass a bill that either extends it or makes it permanent.

The “Big Beautiful Bill,” in addition to funding thousands of new border agents, funding construction of the US-Mexico border wall, ending taxation on tips, ending taxation on overtime, and creating a new deduction for seniors that essentially ends taxes on Social Security, would make the TCJA permanent, a major win for Americans.

So, if the BBB is passed, as the House has already done, taxes will remain low. If it fails in the Senate and the TCJA is allowed to expire, taxes will jump dramatically. Such is what Trump reminded legislators and voters of in a post on Truth Social, saying, “Republicans, the One Big Beautiful Bill, perhaps the greatest and most important of its kind in history, gives the largest Tax Cuts and Border Security ever, Jobs by the Millions, Military/Vets increases, and so much more. The failure to pass means a whopping 68% Tax increase, the largest in history!!!”

In another post, the president noted that the myopic focus on cost-cutting is absurd, as the likley growth to come from cutting taxes will more than make up for it and aid America in reaching a better debt-to-GDP ratio than could be achieved by simply trying to cut taxes, whatever the cost of doing so.

He said, on that point, both that the growth will come from the bill and that they need to get re-elected, which wouldn’t be helped by foisting higher taxes on Republicans. He said, “For all cost cutting Republicans, of which I am one, REMEMBER, you still have to get reelected. Don’t go too crazy! We will make it all up, times 10, with GROWTH, more than ever before.”

The president also slammed Elon Musk for having another online crashout over this. He said, “Elon Musk knew, long before he so strongly Endorsed me for President, that I was strongly against the EV Mandate. It is ridiculous, and was always a major part of my campaign. Electric cars are fine, but not everyone should be forced to own one.”

He continued, “Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa. No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!”
