Trump Vindicated As South African Political Party Speaks Out about Looming Land Disaster

After the woke Western media went on the attack against President Donald Trump for expressing concern over South Africa’s new race-based land expropriation law, which gives the government the ability to take land without compensating its owners for reasons of “economic equity,” a South African political party chimed in to note that he is spot on.

That party is Freedom Front Plus, a conservative party that mainly represents an Afrikaner constituency in the South African parliament. It noted that the expropriation legislation will attempt to align land ownership patterns with the demographic reality in South Africa. As South Africa is over 90% black, but whites own around 70% of the farmland, that would mean a massive, racial redistribution of land like what happened in Zimbabwe.

Vindicating President Trump’s position in a press release about the bill, Freedom Front Plus noted, “The Department of Land Reform and Rural Development today announced to the relevant parliamentary Portfolio Committee that the so-called Equitable Access to Land Bill will be launched this year.”

Continuing, the party noted that Trump and many others who describe the bill as being about racial land redistribution are correct in saying so, as that is exactly what it is about. The press release stated: “The objective of the Bill is to bring landownership in line with the country’s demographics using race as basis.”

Adding to that, the party described how the add on to the Expropriation Bill, the Equitable Access to Land Bill, is snaking its way through parliament, saying, “According to the schedule, Cabinet is due to discuss the Bill in March already, followed by public submissions in April and May, a review by Nedlac in August and tabling to Parliament in October.”

Getting back to the point of the legislation, the press release described how the new bill interacts with the expropriation law, and what the intent of them seems to be. It said, “Very few details are available as yet, but the objective is clear: correcting the so-called skewed pattern of land ownership in the near future. The Expropriation Act, which President Cyril Ramaphosa signed into law earlier this year, is mentioned in the same breath as the proposed Bill as a mechanism whereby government could gain access to land.”

Further, the party noted that all landowners need to be ready, as the bill very much could be used against them as the ruling ANC aims to cement its political power. It said, “The FF Plus wants to encourage everyone with an interest in landownership to be prepared. It seems as if the ANC wants to use this to rise to the MK’s challenge to move as fast as possible.”

Concluding, the party noted that this is clearly aimed at taking away white-owned land, saying, “Neither the Department nor the Portfolio Committee has tried to hide the fact that this Bill is aimed at white landownership. They view it as a part of the freedom struggle which was not fully carried out in 1994. In other words, they decided to unilaterally breach the initial agreement in yet another way.”
