According to Fox News Digital, the campaign for former President Donald Trump said his team is investigating a suspicious post on Facebook by a person alleging to be a cousin of one of the jurors in the Trump trial in which the poster indicated that the juror had discussed the guilty verdict in the trial before the trial concluded.
As a reminder, the jury shockingly found the former president guilty on all 34 counts brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Many on the right alleged that the jury was biased, given Manhattan’s far-left leanings, and that the case had been brought to “get Trump,” not to serve justice. Others have argued that it was never made clear what crime Trump was accused of committing.
Then, Judge Juan Merchan, the judge who presided over the case, alerted the defense team on Friday, June 7, of a comment posted on the court’s public Facebook page in which a commenter said that a family member was a juror in the Trump trial and that the verdict would be guilty. As the post occurred before the verdict, it needs to be investigated to determine if there was juror misconduct, which would mean the case ends in a mistrial.
In the letter, Judge Merchan wrote, “Today, the Court became aware of a comment that was posted on the Unified Court System’s public Facebook page and which I now bnng to your attention. In the comment, the user, ‘Michael Anderson,’ states: ’My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted! Thank you folks for all your hard work!!!!’”
The letter added, “The comment, now labeled as one week old, responded to a routine UCS notice, posted on May 29, 2024, regarding oral arguments in the Fourth Department of the Appellate Division unrelated to this
proceeding.” Fox News added that the profile for the “Michael Anderson” says that the user identifies himself as a “Transabled & professional sh– poster.”
Further, Fox News added that a “Trump campaign official told Fox News Digital they are ‘investigating the matter.'” It remains to be seen if the post was just a joke meant to stir up emotions regarding the trial, or if the “Michael Anderson” juror actually did have a family member who was on the jury and spoke about the verdict before it was delivered. The post came the day before the verdict. Trump, for his part, posted only one word in response to the news, saying, “MISTRIAL!!!”

Trump also posted about another one of the legal situations being used to attack him and his allies, the jailing of Steve Bannon. He said, “It is a Total and Complete American Tragedy that the Crooked Joe Biden Department of Injustice is so desperate to jail Steve Bannon, and every other Republican, for that matter, for not SUBMITTING to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, made up of all Democrats, and two CRAZED FORMER REPUBLICAN LUNATICS, Cryin’ Adam Kinzinger, and Liz “Out of Her Mind” Cheney.”
He continued, “It has been irrefutably proven that it was the Unselects who committed actual crimes when they deleted and destroyed all material evidence, in a pathetic attempt to protect Crazy Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats from the TRUTH — THAT I DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG. The unAmerican Weaponization of our Law Enforcement has reached levels of Illegality never thought possible before. INDICT THE UNSELECT J6 COMMITTEE FOR ILLEGALLY DELETING AND DESTROYING ALL OF THEIR “FINDINGS!” MAGA2024”
