Trump Scores Major Victory against Bidenflation as Memorial Day Gas Prices Set for Lowest Level in Decades

According to experts, gas prices are way down, which was a central campaign promise from President Trump. GasBuddy, which tracks prices and analyzes the data, projects a national average gas price of $3.08 per gallon on Memorial Day, the lowest since 2003 when adjusted for inflation. The same outlet predicts prices will dip below $3 a gallon over the summer.

For context, the high cost of living, which plagued the Biden administration, was one of the problems President Trump vowed to fix in his 2024 campaign. He has prioritized domestic production and stripping odious regulations to pass the savings on to consumers.

In any case, explaining the news, Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, issued a statement. He said, “While we’re forecasting the lowest summer gas prices in years, economic jitters are slightly dampening optimism — but we still expect a robust travel season, with millions of Americans hitting the road, many for extended trips. Rather than canceling plans, travelers are becoming more strategic with their spending.”

Overjoyed by the news, many conservatives took to social media to express gratitude. Reacting to the encouraging news, one user took to X to post, “Road tripping and saw gas at $2.89 a gallon in Wisconsin, and near my house it’s at $3.29 a gallon. Anybody saying gas prices haven’t gone down is full of sh*t, and I live in the Land of Lincoln (Illinois). Thank You Donald J Trump‼️🇺🇸💪🏿💯🙌🏿”

Celebrating the same trend, one woman said, “Trump has stock market ripping, inflation down, gas prices down(who cares), peace deals in the works. Dems could gain some credibility by acknowledging the good, instead, they all just screaming.”

Despite Trump’s impressive track record, many Democrats, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), have doubted his ability to make good promises. As we reported, during the 2024 election, AOC ranted,  “Donald Trump is broke. He needs money. He’s hosting a rally to try to con people and try to fleece them out of every dollar that they have to fund his own legal fees.”

Speaking to consittients she added, “And by the way, he’s doing it in the South Bronx, not to make a point, but because he’s got court and the man practically has the legal version of an ankle bracelet around him, and he can’t leave the five boroughs because he always has to be in court. And so it is truly an embarrassment to him.”

Trying to paint Trump as corupt, she said, “But even on the economic point, we just saw that the former president met with oil executives last week saying, hey, you give me $1 billion, and I’ll make sure that you get the policies that are favorable to raising gas prices and making sure that a lot of these companies continue to price gouge without proper oversight or regulation.”

Finally done with her rant, she hinted at Trump’s alleged corruption. AOC whined, ” And so the idea that we’d be bringing those down when he’s cashing in for those same folks that are bringing those prices up, I think is a little bit suspect.”
